“Perfectly seasoned shrimp”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

Our family always returns to this restaurant. It has a fun atmosphere (except for the tiny beverage area). Due to it's popularity, sometimes there is a wait, but the kitchen delivers your food quickly & they have the best shrimp in the US!

“The owner is the rudest person I've ever encountered in a restaurant.”
Reviewed July 5, 2014 via mobile

We were a party of 4 with a new waiter who started 2 days prior. We waited over an hour for our food. 2 orders came out at once. Then 10 min later 3rd order came out wrong. 4th order never came out. We asked for the manager who said he would give us cannolis. We said we did not want any cannolis. We said that we felt that we should not have to pay for the missing order since 1 person in the party had already finished and the 2nd had almost finished. He said he would get the owner but said " you're not going to like talking to her". He was so right. This very masculine looking women approached in a huff and in a very rude and aggressive tone started preaching about how in a perfect world everyone would get their meal on time. 2 of the 4 dinners were finished eating so we again said we did not think we should pay for the meal still missing. The meal finally came out right then and at that point we told her we did not want it. Waiter took it back and minutes later the owner flew by our table and literally threw the bill on the table. The four of us were in shock. Never before have any of us been treated so rudely by a business owner who was completely unwilling to make right a totally unacceptable dining experience. Long story short... We should have read the reviews first!

“Our meal was a bit bland”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

We wanted Thai food, but decided to eat here. The atmosphere was great, but my cheeseburger was disappointingly bland. We arrived after the Sunday lunch rush and the service was slow, but we enjoyed the view and the 80s music while we waited. My favorite part of the meal was the planks (fries) with malt vinegar. Our meal was also a bit pricey for basic comfort food, and my thirst for Southern style sweet iced tea was also not quenched. We'll be trying somewhere else next time we visit Southport.

They set my standards very high after having their 1/2 lb crab cake samwich. I was pleasantly surprised.

“Great food”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Flies were a problem, but the food was fantastic. Close to the water and breezy. Probably the best food I've had in Southport.
