“I love it, again.”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

It's been a year since the last visit, so I have lots of new comparisons. This still ranks at the top of my list. Ambiance works for couples wanting quiet conversation and for family dinners with toddlers - look around and find a table you like - make reservations to get what you want. It is a Bistro - local, comfortable, welcoming - not a formal dining room.
I have eaten rare yellow fin tuna all over the world, and this still amazes me - perfectly prepared and presented. Sides were tasty. Order what is fresh and in season, if you are not sure, ask the wait staff - they are happy to answer questions. We had 5 adults, all were happy with their food and consider this a "must visit" every year. And we will.

“Place for seafood”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Our B&B recommended Mr. P's. it was a good recommendation! Oysters on the half shell were HUGE and delicious! Scallops were fresh and sweet. Sides were nicely done. Good value for the money. Will visit here again.

“best restaurant in town”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

consitantly the best choice in southport. There is a reason that every night it is crowded. The menu offers a great variety of choices and the staff is attentive but not annoying. From appetizers to desserts it will not dissapoint. It is full of locals who will always choose it for their special night out. Plan on making it your entire evening, not just a aplace for a quick bite,

We love it here. It is one of our favorite restaurants. Good, fresh local food and fabulous service. We usually split a meal and get the two extra sides and the portions work out perfectly.

“Winter visit”
Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Busy Saturday night in February. Preferred the summer visit. Our food was cold (shrimp and grits) and server did not pay attention to when to bring salad when I ordered an appetizer for an entree. She could not answer simple ingredient questions about cocktail on menu. Chalked it up to having the A team during the summer months. Small table of four. Will come back, but it the summer when they are on their game.
