We found ourselves in need of a couple of days off, away from the everyday. We found it in Southport with Rick and Linda at the Inn. Rick gave us a little tour in the golf cart, pointing out the local restaurants and ferries. Everything is walkable in town, or you can take their bikes out to ride around. The Inn is a lovely old home in perfect restored condition. The Captain Adkins room was perfect with a little balcony. The bed was very comfortable and bedding and towels are luxurious. The bathroom is beautiful with a double vanity that is a beautiful piece of art and a shower that is generous and hot enough in a clawed foot bathtub. Breakfasts are elegant, great food and wine and cheese in the afternoon is a welcoming touch. Rick and Linda are warm friendly hosts in a beautiful Inn that is a perfect getaway! And when they tell you to have lunch at 'Baked with Love'-go! It is great!
