“Outdated location, disappointed with meal, lazy staff.”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

my wife and I have always stopped here throughout our many visits to North Carolina, but we will never go back again. She got the fish and chips which came out soggy, I Always get the Shepard's
pie which used to be great and served hot, but I
guess is now brought out cold. Our server was very attentive at first (only five tables had people at them in the whole building) but never checked back on our meal. All the staff acted as they were in a hurry to close my wife even saw a guy smoking cigarettes in the parking lot. Any fellow golfers I would suggest one of the other pubs in Southern Pines, my Shepard's pie will come from a different restaurant next year.

“Old fashioned, food not great.”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Food and space needs a good update - okay, but won't go back. Staff was okay, but not very attentive.

“Hit the spot for a beer and quick bite!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We stopped here after golfing for a quick bite and a cold beer. This place was right on target! We sat at the bar, watched an opening day baseball game, and weren't disappointed with what we ordered. We each got a local draft -Gaelic Brew - which was refreshing and delicious. We ordered the crab rarebit - very tasty. Service was fast and pleasant. The menu looked great - good selection. We would stop here for dinner, too!

“Needs updated”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

The food was kind of heavy, the service was slow, and the interior was dank & dreary. They need a good scrub down- maybe Chef Rober Irvine can pay them a visit. The trifle needs sherry & didn't taste right. I'm British & this place is disappointing.

“Good pub grub”

We love this Irish pub near Pinehurst. Good food and service. Wonderful fish&chips and Shepherd's Pie. Very child friendly!
