Burger w/fries and a beer, $10.
A while back someone in town was complaining about the $10 burger at the Sly Fox. This is a nice gastropub right next door. Lunch at the Fox is a tasty $20 high end burger and lunch. They offer much more elaborate menu items. It's a "gastropub"
While right next door it the Broad Street!
The problem is that driving by the large gold letters on the old brick building of the The Fox jump out as does the umbrellas on their side patio.
Broad Street in contrast is the pale blue nondescript uninviting windowless narrow front. It could easily pass as a dive.
Inside the Broad Street was strikingly clean and orderly. It's still a bar. With 3 TV behind the bar and several others around the room; maybe a plain sports bar. Down to earth, nothing fancy bar.
There's an small outside patio. I did notice any smell. Not even the kitchen smells which is at the front of the space. When you come in the front it tees into a hall going to the right past the lavatories and into the kitchen. Turn left into the bar with tables off to the left side of the room and a stage at the far end. Past that is the exit to the patio and outside bar.
Tasty nicely seasoned burger with fresh lettuce and tomato. Crispy not greasy skin on fries. a hand full of hot sauces to select. Quick friendly service and a cold PBR draft because I don't see it that often. All good, $10!
I was there about 5 in the afternoon. Looked like a handful of regulars. Some "salty" language. Did I mention this is a bar. It's that kind of bar. Option is to sit at a table or outside.
Unpretentious straight up good food, great value.
