Excellent food with great selections from a limited menu. Only offer what can be prepared, to order and fresh. Great chef and attentive, well trained staff. Only minus in otherwise perfect evening - entrance directly into restaurant - no vestibule so weather can be an issue. Bar could be smaller. Otherwise - perfect evening. .

This a charming little restaurant that seats less than 40 people.

The menu selections are very good but limited. Featured are a few appetizers in addition to a couple of unique salads and soups. There are approx. 6-8 entree selections. Our party of 4 had the beet salad which was good, but needed more cheese. Amongst our group we had salmon and the seared scallop entrees. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection! The portions were generous, but not overwhelming.

The wine list was very good as was the service. We will definately return for another enjoyable meal here!

the friend whos birthday it was, picked the restaurant..the other 6 of us hadn't been there..I have other friends that love it for lunch..what can I say..it was OK..noisy..took almost a 1/2 to get bread and our drinks we ordered also at that time ordered 2 plates of calamari..only 1 other table at that time was filled..waitress looked like she hadn't been up long..blouse way to small..and wrinkled.. we ordered..not a very big choice on menu..they loved their oysters..escargot..2 of us ordered the dinner portion of chicken Caesar salad..well it probably had 1 leaf of romaine lettuce and 1/4 airplane chicken..roasted tomato..that was about it..for 20.00 I was dissapointed..the small plates looked nice..my husband had the hanger steak..very salty..actually everyone that had small plates said theirs was salty also..by the time we got our meal it was very noisy..course we did help that noise level..had to..with other table of 6 right next to us had to talk over them..we won't be going back anytime soon..maybe for lunch..menu look better for that..

We started our first dining experience with Wolcott's on a slightly sour note. Arriving about 5 minutes before our reserved time we were told our table was just finishing up and it would only be a few minutes. So we sat outside and enjoyed a cocktail but 40 minutes passed before our table was finally vacated. In Wolcott's defense - the issue was caused in part by the people before us showing up 45 minutes after their reserved time. Wolcott's is a very small and quaint restaurant that cannot adapt to this type of delay since they have very few tables. I'm not going to say I have a solution as they had no gaurantee of our reservation either and obviously need to fill their tables to be successful but the limited seating can cause this issue. Wolcott's did not charge us for our first cocktail which was great and was not requested by us.

Now as for the food...it was very good. Being that we are not big fans of large portions we typically split meals so it was refreshing to see their "Just a taste" option for all their entrees. We started with the charcuterie platter - which we enjoyed because it's chefs choice giving us an insight into the chefs palate. We split the mushrooms and asparagus salad - it was very unique and we both enjoyed it. I'm glad we tried it but don't think we'd order it again. For the entrees we ordered the just a taste portions of the stuffed pork loin and the grilled hanger steak. Both were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.

The staff was wonderful. Very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and apologetic about the delay. Even with the restaurant technically closing at 9pm we never felt rushed or hurried and had ample time to enjoy our meal. Sometimes when dining close to closing time the staff is busy getting things ready to close in the dining room which can make the remaining patrons feel rushed...we never felt that once and didn't leave till after 9:30.
