“Nice Pots But But Very Pricie”
Reviewed August 24, 2009

Lots of good crystaline glazed pots and some not so interesting wood fired pots. This is just one of maybe 7 or 8 potteries that make crystaline pottery in Seagrove. It is a pretty common glaze and other potteries do it just as well or better for much less cost. I recommend shopping around before making a puchase. The North Carolina Pottery Center has a display of most of the Potteries including Phil Morgan and you can get a feel for what Potteries you want to visit.

“Phil Morgan has unusual pottery.”
Reviewed November 13, 2004

Phil Morgan and his family do some very interesting pieces - not the usual brown jugs. Their prices are a little higher than some others, but the uniqueness of the pieces justify the price. Go first to the Museum and see works by others; you can then see what type pottery pleases you best. However, be sure to make Phil Morgan's shop one of your stops. Well worth a visit.
