“Scaly Mtn. Outdoor Center great family fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2012

We've enjoyed tubing for years and have always been treated with respect. It's just over 2 hours from our place in Fayetteville, Georgia. The lift makes it so much easier for our little one too. The price is very comparable to others we've visited.

“Family Fun”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2012

Great place for some simple family fun. Tubing on a slide or when the weather gets cold enough they make snow for tubing.

“Do not Stop”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2012

It was not worth the money. The staff was rude. It was not really family oriented area. They only have single tubs. They only have one slide open, other than the kiddy slide which is only for 4 and under. There is nothing in between. They are not for families to have fun together, all they want is your money. After a while the kids were ready to go. Like I said do not stop it is not worth it. You will be glad that you went somewhere else.

“Fun without the lines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2011

We had heard good things about Scaly Mountain's winter tubing, which is about 2 hours from Atlanta. We couldn't make it up this past winter, and decided to try their "summer tubing." Our kids, ages 14, 7 and 5 had a blast. There were only two other kids there when we arrived, so our kids got to go as many times as they could without any delay in the hour we were there (12-15 trips down the hill). The summer tubing uses the same winter tubes which run down the hill along a path with barriers on either side with enough room for the tubes to spin around while going downhill. The tubes are dipped in soapy water, and the path has PVC piping on it with water misting the track. The tubes travelled quickly, and the kids were tired when there time was up. Well worth the visit, with no cold feet, runny noses, are long lines to contend with.

“inexpensive fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2011

The Scaly Mountain snow tubing is awesome!....only $24 pp for 2 hours of tubing...they also have ice skating and a nice restaurant. There is a very convenient lift to the top of the hill so that you do not get worn out hiking up the sledding hill.....
