“Family Fun Day”

Sapphire Sweet Shop & Gem Mine Village
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: The Sapphire Sweet Shop and Gem Mine takes visitors back to the olden days. Our mine is set under a canopy of trees and alongside a running stream. We are not plopped in a parking lot along the side of a busy road. We cater to families and assure that each and every person who walks onto our property has a great time at a reasonable price. The sweet shop is an old timey candy shop which looks the part and carries a line of hand-dipped chocolates, ice cream and retro candies. Out back you will find picnic areas, a log amphitheater and 4 primitive campsites.

We went on June 26th & had a great time with our grandchildren! They loved mining the stones & carefully looking for all of the gems! The owner was very helpful on talking about the different stones & cracking jokes to make the kids laugh!! We topped it all off with ice cream on the front porch & a photo that I kissed seeing by not getting on here sooner!! :(. Highly recommend!!

Steve we had a ball on Fri., the granddaughters loved it. We will be back next year. I will get my own bucket then. We learned so much about the different stones. I have bought the wire and now will learn to do the wire wrapping on the stones for the girls.
Thanks for the great music and the fun!

When you walk into the shop, it reminds you of the dime store days, when you would go in a buy candy for the long walk home. They have every candy you can think of. A pleasant walk down memory lane!!

We stopped by later on a Saturday, and they stayed open just for us to mine some gems. Our pail had many nice sized gems in it, and they were very helpful identifying each stone. The shop is very cute. Good chocolates and snacks. The wire wrapping they do to set your gems are beautiful. We will definitely go back.
