This is a favorite place to hike on our annual camping trips to Brevard! (And if you like to camp, check out Ash Grove Mtn Cabins & Camping). Hiking along the river is great if you love listening to the sound of rushing water. The falls on the Horsepasture River are well worth the hike. The view from the new visitor center is also gorgeous.

We have been here twice. We enjoyed a day hiking to waterfalls. New area that is still under development. Easy access from Cashiers.. Good Parking. Clean but primitive restrooms. Nice picnic areas near the trail heads

The new visitors center is well designed and offers great vistas. Hiking trails are many and its agreat place to explore.

Not a huge park but got some nice trials. Great view of waterfalls. Probably one of the nicest visitor center I've seen for state parks.

Gorges State Park
Started not to stop but sure glad we did. They just finished the visitor center building and it’s one of the nicest I’ve seen. (Must have cost a fortune.) If you’re in the area, be sure and take the short diversion. The Ranger said they still have a lot of work throughout the park (camping still not available).
