The dinner was just fancy enough! Everything was well prepared and tasted wonderful. We were with a group of 6 and everyone loved their choices. Most had the special lamb shank and it was enough for leftovers. The wine list is short, but good,

From appetizer t dessert and coffee we savored every bite. You don't have to be an inn guest to dine here on weekends, but you best make a reservation!

We have been dining here for going on 15 years (we live locally). Recently we held our Mother's 90th birthday here and Marc and Marianne (the new owners) did everything and then some to make this one of the most special family dinners we have ever held anywhere. Marianne worked with me on the menu and made sure we had my Mother's favorites. The special cake she made herself was divine. And extra touches at no extra charge. We have had friends stay here and they raved as well. If you are looking for a special dinner, romantic getaway or special family dinner this is hands down the best in the area. And if you here around Christmas be sure to attend one of the Dicken's Dinners. First class all the way!

During our business retreat in the NC mountains we stayed at the Orchard Inn and for convenience we dined at the Inn in the evenings. What a surprise! The diners were outstanding and everyone in the group raved about the menu choices, the hospitality, and the great wine pairings. Marc and Marianne , thank you for delicious nights with a variety of wonderful tastes; each nught was different and I loved the decadent desserts. Yummmmmm!

The hosts, Marc & Marianne are a most interesting couple! They go above and beyond one's expectations to make everyone feel at home. The views out the windows are spectacular, green valley with mountains in the distance.
And the food!! They serve breakfast and dinner. We've been fortunate enough to dine at some of the finer restaurants in NY, San Francisco, New Orleans, Chicago, Miami and elsewhere. The food served at the Orchard Inn compares most favorably.
Most of the food is locally sourced; fresh produce, eggs and fish. Even the sausages.
Breakfast is amazing. Fresh fruit, home made granola, perfectly prepared egg dishes, fresh juice and coffee and more.
Dinners are more amazing. Salads, fresh trout, mouth watering Osso Buco with the meat so tender no knife is required. I had the best crab cakes I've ever eaten. Every dinner includes a choice of three entrees and everyone in the dining room raved about their dinner. It was hard to decide what to order! Everything was so good. Needless to say the desserts were also grand.
The wine list is extensive with fabulous choices. If you know wines you will be most pleased by what is offered.
The flavor, preparation, appearance and complexity of the dishes served is so much more than what one would expect from Inns and B&B's. The Orchard Inn is a true dining experience.

We were lucky to be able to enjoy both breakfasts and dinners at The Orchard Inn. Marianne serves up amazingly delicious food. Breakfast is different each day with a nice balance of sweet and savory. Marc sends out freshly made juices. And, the dining room is beautiful--with a full wall of windows looking out on the landscape. Dinners were like dining in a very fine dining restaurant with multiple courses beautiful presented and totally delicious. Everything was SO good that I managed to gain a few pounds during my stay--because you simply can't refuse anything that comes out of that kitchen. It's THAT good!
