“Home away from home!”
Reviewed April 1, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

My family had a great stay at Saluda Vista! The king beds were oh so comfy and the house was very updated with everything we needed. We loved grilling out on the huge back deck and paddle boating during the day! I would highly recommend this house.

Yes, the town of Saluda is quaint and charming. It seems to cast a spell on those who visit. There are several really good restaurants and Thompson's, the oldest operating grocery store in North Carolina, anchors a Main Street spot. Antique stores and artistic endeavors abound. For those wanting a little more excitement, Green River Adventures offers zip lining at The Gorge, along with kayaking and hiking tours.

“Lovely escape”
Reviewed December 30, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Spent Christmas in this sweet house. Beautifully decorated and well stocked. On a small lake in the woods. Great location! Only thing missing was a way to play music. The bedrooms are great with private bathrooms and king beds...but, 2 of them are off of the main room so if you have late sleepers...Saluda Vista is a lovely house and it's private, peaceful and fun. Owner is very responsive.

Thanks for your review. Two of the three bedrooms, each with their own bath, are off of the large great room. This allows couples or individuals privacy, while giving family and friends a large communal space where they can mingle.

“Absolutely Loved the House”
Reviewed June 29, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This house is exactly as advertised. It is beautifully renovated and located in a stress free environment. The kitchen was fully equipped. We didn't eat any meals out and everything I needed for cooking was easily located. I would return to this house without any hesitation! We didn't use the hot tub so I can't comment on it but it looked new and well kept.

Thanks for the nice comments! We try to have a well stocked kitchen. It's frustrating to plan a meal and find that you don't have the right pan or baking dish to finish. It's all part of that "stress free" environment. And, yes, the hot tub was purchased new and installed December 2015.

“This place is great!”
Reviewed October 21, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Saluda Vista is amazing! The pictures are good, but wait til you see it in person! No amenity missed. Great views of the small lake. Private setting. Bedding luxurious, comfy and plenty of seating . . . perfect for a party or family reunion. Kitchen is stocked with every imaginable utensil/cookware you can think of. Lots to do in nearby Saluda and Hendersonville. October is a beautiful time of year to go.

Thanks so much for your nice review. It's nice to know you enjoyed life on the lake! The town of Saluda has much to offer, but its' proximity to other things make it especially attractive. Asheville is only 35 miles away, Spartanburg 40 miles, and Greenville, Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock less than an hour. A short 20 minute commute puts you in Hendersonville. So within an hours drive, there is a wealth of opportunity to dine, shop, and explore the area. One can also just enjoy the amenities Saluda Vista offers, as this guest found that the well stocked kitchen made for easy meal prep and attractive serving options. Our comfy mattresses and luxurious linens make for a great nights sleep. Hope to see you again soon!
