nice quiet place to stay for our anniversary. Not only were the rooms nice and clean but the view from outside the back door was breathtaking. Definitely a place where I could be still and listen for God. Wayne and Wendy are wonderful people. We felt truely blessed after stayin at their Lodge

We stayed overnight on our way to TN based on a relative's experience. The property is being renovated and is family owned and operated. While still a work in progress, they are doing an excellent job, with a focus on customer service. The room we had was amazingly clean (and I am PICKY!). The view from the firepit area is breathtaking and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

Cute little motel near everything. Rooms are very clean and the staff is nice.
We just stayed overnight, but it was very relaxing. Only thing missing was a pool :(
The view was great and the room was cozy.

We stayed overnight for a wedding and loved this place! The view is breathtaking, the feel is homey and family oriented, and it was so peaceful, relaxing, and friendly. Wendy and Wayne are wonderful- they make you feel like part of the family. I couldn't wait to get back from the wedding, sit around the fire pit, and make s'mores (there is a large basket put out with all the s'more fixings at night) The rooms were so clean and cozy. I cannot wait to return for a long weekend to experience all there is to offer up there, zip lining, water rafting, hiking, waterfalls. Amazing experience and I highly recommend this hotel.

I've never had a motel room with a backdoor, but one step outside tells you why it is a good thing. The view across the Green River Gorge is breathtaking. There are comfortable chairs circled up close, and it's completely inviting to sit, relax, and take it all in.
The lodge is mountainy charming - rustic and comfortable - and very clean. The room had all the amenities we needed. This is not your upscale, high-tech hotel - it is real, homey, and just the place to appreciate these mountains. The setting here is very pretty with lots of flowering shrubs and shady trees.

And to top it all off, this family-run place is long on friendliness and service. I left my case with earrings and necklaces, and we got a call really quickly to let me know they had found it. They are mailing it to me, and would not accept payment.
They are just so very nice!

This is a great location to spend a few days with easy access to the charming town of Saluda; Hendersonville, and Asheville. Plus Polk County is just the prettiest, most easy-going place to be for a vacation.

Did I say it's very reasonable to stay here? Well, what else could you want!

Room Tip: They all have a great view.

We were traveling through Polk County. We decided to get a room and picked the Lodge. It is a wonderful family owned business and you could not ask for better service. The rooms are just amazing and you feel as you are staying in your own cabin. not a hotel room. The family is so friendly and they take those extra little steps to make you feel at home. They have an inviting fire pit to sit by as they set out smore's for you to fix as you watch one of the most amazing sunsets you will ever see.

This was a phenomenal three-night stay for us to see waterfalls all across the south west part of North Carolina. The owner Wayne was just the nicest guy who made us feel right at home. We absolutely loved our room and the views are simply spectacular. We can't say enough about how great the Saluda Mountain Lodge is for a wonderful romantic getaway!!! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Every room is great!!!
