Whilst on holiday in Esperance from Perth, my partner & I found this place online listed as a relatively new addition to the restaurant scene in the area. The photos & general reviews seemed okay.
Booked a table for 8pm & arrived on time. Only two tables of people were in the restaurant yet no tables were set for us & the waitress didn't even seem to remember taking my booking. She went away to make up a table taking our wine (it's BYO) & putting it in the fridge with their own soft drinks. Asked three times for an ice bucket, didn't get one. Had to get up to get my own wine from the fridge & glasses then at the end of the meal was charged corkage... for serving my own wine!
After about 25 minutes waiting, we ordered entrée & main course, by which time we were the only people in the restaurant. The waitress asked if we were sure that was what we wanted & tried to suggest something else. We said we were sure we wanted what we'd asked for. Entrée came out & was nice, onion bhaji & chicken tikka. A couple of minutes later the waitress came standing by our table asking whether we were ready for main course... we'd only just started entrée. The microwave kept beeping in the kitchen & there was a kid in the kitchen that was crying & shouting & she kept checking if we were ready. Main finally arrived & was overpowered by an incredibly strong flavour of lemon. No Indian flavours at all. The waitress was standing behind the counter next to our table texting on her mobile & shouting out that she finally got rice with her dinner from restaurant leftovers that night.
When we'd finished we got up to pay & were left standing at the counter for over 10 minutes while all staff were in the kitchen talking.
Inside looks nothing like he photos on here, quite dated & needs cleaning up.
Far from any good Indian food we've had before & really wouldn't recommend bothering to make the trip from the main street in Esperance.
