We really enjoyed this place. The service was spectacular. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was good. They close late so we sat there for a while. The deserts are really impressive. Good value.

Party of 8 including children two waitress attended us one very bubbly and the other didn't look like she wanted to be there and was quite short. Food was fantastic and plenty of it. The bill at the end was given we checked and it had over $50 extra food on there on it before we had chance to mention it the waitress came over laughing asking if we wanted the revised bill no apoligy for the mistake. Either attention to detail or they tried to pull a fast one. I hope attention to detail. Either way during our stay at Esperance we didn't return.

The waitress was very professional, but the good was very average. The atmosphere is 1970s but not retro!

Visited Eljays for the first time recently, arrihibg late mid week and were surprised just how busy it was. The menu had lots of options and I opted for the fish of the day with the garlic sauce and my partner the lamb. The portions we found were a little small (I did get a nice big piece of fish) for the price and the combination of coriander in the asian greens with the lamb was a little strange. Both meals took a while to arrive but were both cooked perfectly. Desserts seemed a little expensive so we opted to give that a miss...but saw from other tables that they were huge and we could have shared! The wine list was also good. We would definitely return and would recommend to people wanting to pay a little extra for really nice food and wine. We felt that the lights could be dimmed and some minor furnishings added to give the eating area more atmosphere.
