“Great food”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

We ate here on a horse and carriage tour. 'Krondorf Rd Cafe' is located in Kabminye winery. The people are so friendly and the food is very good. The sausages with cabbage was amazing.

“A pleasant lunch with very good wine”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

we have enjoyed lunch here a number of times and the third has always been excellent. The restaurant area is great with views to the surrounding vines and hills. A Very good choice of wines awaits. There is usually something interesting on in the gallery upstairs.

“Unusual wines”
Reviewed September 8, 2012 via mobile

This was the winery we had lunch at on a wine tour. The wines were good and a little unusual eg zinfandel for the region. Laid back place. I think the food would be better if it wasn't included in the tour is you went here to have lunch off the menu. Well worth a visit.

“Lunch Amongst the Vines”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Fun, casual place to have some lunch. Set amongst the vineyards it has large windows which provide 270 degree views. Wines are pleasant, staff very friendly and helpful. Handy location to some other very good cellar doors.

“Fantastic find in the Barossa”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

What a find! We came here on the recommendation of the Louise and are SO glad that we did.

It’s a small family run winery and the winemaker likes to try doing something a bit different so the tasting session is a “wake up” if you are feeling a bit jaded from a day’s tasting in other places.

The food is excellent and the winemakers son (who took our order) made some excellent suggestions on what we should eat (it made a great sharing picnic) and drink. My husband didn't think he liked German food but was happy to be converted!

It’s a very relaxed place – we were able to get up and wander around and try the odd drop while waiting for the food, and after eating, with a lovely chatty atmosphere with the owners popping over from time to time to see how you are enjoying everything. It’s so lovely and refreshing to go somewhere where you can see the passion in everything that is done.

Beautiful views and the loveliest, friendliest little long haired dachshund I have ever met wandering around – give her a cuddle from me if you see her!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review.
Poppy (the dachshund) has already had a big cuddle. Sadly she is losing her hearing and sight due to getting on a bit, and is not featuring at Kabminye as often as she used to.
