Upon arrival you wander through the most luxuriant garden, full of produce that will end up on your plate at some stage during your stay. The room, with ensuite and sunken spa bath, is delightful and comfortable, with every amenity. The highlight is the eight-course degustation dinner matched with wonderful wines. OMG! Too incredible for words! The staff are professional yet personable, tending to your every needs. The surroundings are unbeatable, even in such a stunning area as the Barossa and the food, making full use of local fresh produce, will ensure that your eyes, head, heart and stomach are all catered for here.
Overall, we can recommend this for a weekend of relaxation, romance and gastronomic indulgence.

Jacobs Creek Retreat is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with first class service and old world charm. It truly is a special oasis in the great environment of the Barossa Valley.

Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. We had a ball!

After a very long drive from Melbourne thru the very dry at times outback, what a wonderful oasis to find the Jacobs Creek Retreat. It is so much more even than what is sampled on the website. The grounds are simply stunning! Each accommodation room seems to be nestled within its own private garden area. The room was done in French provincial country style. It had everything we needed, and extra little touches, the giant bath with beautiful oils and bubbles was lovely, with candles supplied to add to the romance. Breakfast was a pure delight, we especially loved the tart of the day, and the little baby mushrooms sauted with herbs!! and of course we loved to match it with a glass of something yummy. We had the choice to share with other guests, or enjoy our own special setup anywhere in the garden . After going out all day to enjoy the beautiful winerys, it was lovely to "come home" and enjoy our private space. We have told all of our friends of our wonderful time and look forward to going back next year. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the food delightful, the gardens just breathtaking. Highly recommended

My fiance and i stayed at Jacobs Creek Retreat in Rowland Flat Tanunda and i have to say it's the most beautiful and peaceful place we've stayed in Australia. The rooms are lovely with old style settings and a huge spa bath making it easy to relax and unwind. The food was sensational (especially the breakfast) and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We did some wine tasting at the retreat which was great. The gardens that surround the retreat are amazing, you really do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
There are lots of wineries and restaurants in the area so you are never short of somewhere to eat or enjoy wine tastings.
We will definatley be returning to Jacobs Creek Retreat in the future and have recommended it to our family and friends.

Jacobs Creek Retreat was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The gardens are stunning and the hospitality we experienced was fabulous. We loved the cosy converted barns - much nicer than a standard hotel room. The breakfasts were amazing, particularly the coffee!

The attention to detail staff provided made it a very memorable weekend.
