Very beatiful secluded and romantically quiet retreat. We loved our cottage style accomadation and the service given to us was second to none. Two fantastic days with a breakfast to die for each day. Even though our stay was under a "specials getaway" the service and attention to detail was not comprimised. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and have already told so many people about the retreat and what it has to offer. Will definately be back again soon.

Room Tip: From what I saw it would not matter which room you had as they are all exceptional.

Staying at Jacobs Creek Retreat was a wonderfully enjoyable experience. The Hosts Wyndham & Patricia House and their highly professional staff ensured our stay was impeccable from the moment we arrived to being escorted to our suite (which was absolutely luxurious), to enjoying gourmet dining in the beautiful garden surroundings, to wine tasting at their Cellar Door, to walking around the property and relaxing amidst the beautifully scented David Austen Roses soaking up the ambience and tranquility, to our final buffet breakfast, the entire stay was one of the most pleasant and memorable holidays we've enjoyed. We can hardly wait to return and have no hesitation in recommending to any of our family and friends to experience this touch of French provincial paradise in the Barossa Valley.

Our room and stay exceeded our expectations. Breakfast - amazing; lunch - amazing. Staff were helpful and friendly and therefore service was superb. Well worth booking a lunch here and choose to eat outside if the weather is fine - but let the staff know! This is not a modern cutting edge resort, but instead is full of character and charm. We'll be back.

Jacobs creek retreat was exactly what we needed. We arrived to a glass of sparkling Shiraz and a really nice gentlemen that took us for a tour through the gardens and then to our suite. We were instantly relaxed. Next came the actual room... We stayed in a studio suite (there cheapest room) and we felt like royalty. Big soft bed with pillows galour, and a HUGE sunken spa!!

Everything about the retreat seems to have been designed to make you feel relaxed, from the incredible gardens, and the constant stream of food and wine (best breakfast ever!!!) to the staff which we just loved.

After just two days we left feeling so refreshes.... The perfect getaway

Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was infested with bugs of all kinds, not to mention the rotting woodwork, which was described as rustic! We were offered a wine tasting with a shiraz which was either off or oxidised. The expensive Degustation meal tasted like reheated function food, even though the website says something about freshest local ingredients. Our grievances were brushed off by the manager who offered a bottle of undrinkable wine in recompense. This place is a comedy of errors, definitely not worth the money. The staff although friendly, seemed a little strained. The only redeeming feature was the gardens and surrounding landscape.

Upon arriving at the Retreat, we checked into our room and went straight over to the Restaurant for a wine tasting. The gardens are stunning, and the wine list is lovely. The room we stayed in was lovely and cosy, with all the creature comforts - and a fantastic bath! Breakfast the following morning was fantastic. Only minor thing that slightly disappointed us was the restaurant only served degustations for lunch/dinner which were a bit out of our price range, so we had to travel into Tanunda for dinner.
