“Just Beautiful!!!”

This was a winter escape for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while also getting some work done without interruption. It was just perfect. While the rain and wind were beating and blowing all around us, we sat snug and warm in this stunning accommodation. The open kitchen and living area was bright and cheerful with surrounding windows and doors throwing light in from every direction. The rooms were beautifully laid out with a minimalistic design approach that worked perfectly throughout the whole house. It really was a captivating beach house experience, and we'd love to go back there again some time soon.

“Everything a beach house should be”

Third stay in four years at The Pelican Shed and it just keeps getting better. 80 metre walk to the superb, safe Long Beach - a perfect beach for budding surfers or young ones who want to play in the shallows. The Pelican Shed is a home away from home to us....great, stylish furnishings, great bathrooms and kitchen and wonderful beds and bedding. Outside area's on both sides of the house - one side decking and outside dining/bbq area and the other a lawn garden area for croquet and mini cricket - and a perfect spot to hose down sandy children and boards straight from the beach! Our kids refer it to as "our beach house" - if only!!

“Our Pelican Shed Experience”

Arriving to the heater and music on and a nice bottle of local wine in the refrigerator the “Shed" is a comfy delight.
Located in a secluded spot, and most importantly, out of the wind when staying Robe/coastal South Australia during winter. The beds were comfy and the electric blankets were fantastic! The bunk option was a treat for the 7 year old traveller.
The bush setting was appreciated considering there are no sweeping coastal views. The rain water tank was useful as the mains water is not good to taste.
Breakfast supplies were adequate despite there being no Vegemite.
We had a lovely stay, although a little hard to find off the main road, includes a good coffee machine and perfect size TV, charades was fun and it was warm.

Thank you for your lovely review. The Pelican Sheds garden creates a soft natural barrier from the wind, I am glad that you were warm and comfortable as the winter weather has been invigorating!

“Lightfilled and restful”

Fantastic position for access to beach, walkway to town, without the noise of the main road or passing cars. Protected from the notorius Robe breezes, the price you pay for no view but much more relaxing for sitting outside! Comfortable amount of space even for a full contingent of eight. Two decks to choose from which would suit different times of year for suncatching or shade. Nice flat garden entrance.
Decor modern, nice bed linen and towels and plenty of breakfast supplies including coffee.
Could probably do with eight proper chairs for the dining table but kids didn't mind using stools.

Thank you for your lovely review.
I am glad you enjoyed relaxing outside in the sheltered garden and found the house comfortable for your large group. Must say I think it is in a great spot but I am a little bias.

“Excellent accomodation in a relaxed, quiet environment and very close to the superb Long Beach”

The Pelican Shed is a superb beach side retreat, offering first class accommodation in a wonderful quiet seascape setting. We loved sitting in the tea tree garden, watching the beautiful birds also enjoy this amazing environment. Just a short walk to the magnificent Long Beach which we frequented every day for swimming, boogie boarding or long walks. Another attraction of Robe is the delightful cliff top walk and the Pelican Shed is located right at the beginning of this walk which offers incredible views of the Robe coastline.
The Robe township is also delightful; excellent cafes/restaurants, fresh seafood and beautifully maintained historic buildings. We also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the wonders at Robes doorstep; Coonawarra region, wild coast line of Beach Port and the caves at Narracorte.
The Pelican Shed is extremely well appointed and so relaxing to live in. Thank you Sonya for your very warm hospitality; we loved our stay and will definitely be back again!!
