As a typical seaside village pub this place met expectations. Just make sure they aren't too high! All the usual suspects on the menu, schnitzel, steak, fish, chicken etc and an OK salad and vegie bar. It was better than passable and not too badly priced given there is no competition in town.

Had dinner here on Sat 17 September. My wife ordered fish (King George Whiting). When it arrived the fish was literally 2 mouthfulls and H (who often orders entree sized meals and is not a big eater) just stared at it in disbelief. We called over the waitress who said she'd 'mention it to the chef.' She then came back a few minutes later to say that the chef was 'grumpy' & 'the apprentice might have been a bit light with his servings."
The waitress appeared sympathetic but we were not offered any sort of compensation or top up - I don't really care if the waitress is sympathetic- she was representing the organisation to us and failed miserably. My meal (chicken parma was fair in terms of quality/quantity but overpriced and the vegetable/salad offerings in the bain marie were pretty awful. Our tip is to get fish & chips.from the shop across the road - just don't eat at the pub.

A lovely country pub with a great view overlooking St Vincent's Gulf.
A recent stay at Port Vincent saw us at this local hotel, and it was an enjoyable experience, starting with a main course of Atlantic Salmon that had been subtley favoured with a chilli and honey glaze. It was well presented and a joy to taste. My wife had a platter of lightly crumbed fried prawns which were beautiful and full of flavour. The plate was so full she was unable to taste the salads, however, I enjoyed a side plate of homemade salads that were a treat. We took the opportunityto try a local wine and were not disappointed! It was a Barley Stacks Cabernet Shiraz 2008 and at $29 a bottle, I thought this was a bargain. All in all a lovely taste enhance by genuinely nice staff. Give it a try.

Sorry not willing to pay $24.00 for a basic beef parmigiana schnitzel. Your prices are over the top.
