“local history”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

There are a number of historical cottages on Petticoat Lane, including Sharam's Cottage. Sharam was a cobbler who became a prominent member of local community. The tiny cottages give a sense of life back in the day. There is also a herb garden mentioned by many of the other reviews although there were only a few tiny potatoes in the basket the day that we visited.
Worth a visit, it's a pleasant way to spend a half hour.

“Well presented”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

We loved this street as it showed how harsh it was 150 years ago - well presented for the tourist.

“A little bit of history”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

Good to see that the very old buildings and their surroundings are being looked after in a sympathetic way.
