“Whistler Farm five star B&B in the Barossa”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

From the moment we arrived at Whistler Farm we were made to feel welcome. Touches like the tasting plate and a bottle of Whistler wine gave us a real taste for all the fine things the Barossa has to offer. Jayne and Chris have an extensive knowledge of the local area and were able to recommend many fine restaurants and wineries. Personal touches like fresh flowers in our room and booking our anniversary dinner were very much appreciated. Having spent many holidays in B&Bs in England we would happily say that Whistler Farm is up there with the best of them!

This was our first overnight stay in the barossa and we loved the B&B. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, the room was tastefully decorated and very spacisous with your own weber Q and courtyard setting. The breakfast provisions and nespresso coffee machine were great and the cheese platter the night before hit the spot after our 4 hour degustation lunch... Jayne even drove us to Hentley Farm and picked us up after lunch which was fantastic so we could both have a few wines!!. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

This is the perfect place to spend your time in the Barossa. Jayne and Chris are incredible hosts, they have a great knowledge of the Barossa and go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your trip. They have thought of everything with their B&B - the bedroom is spacious and clean, the kitchen stocked with delicious local produce for breakfast or a platter with your complimentary bottle of wine, and a private grassed courtyard complete with a webber. Highly recommended.

Whistler Farm is a luxurious B&B where you totally relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. It is close to the vineyards (their own winery is across the road) and local shops. We received a warm welcome from Jayne and Chris and enjoyed a glass of wine with them overlooking their beautiful gardens. We appreciated the kitchenette and made good use of the BBQ area and indulged in fantastic wines from their cellar. I would highly recommend this B&B and a visit to Tsharkes cellar door.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent.

Thanks for the review - we enjoy the opportunity to sit back and share a drink and a chat and to advise places for people to visit so that if they are here for a short visit can make the most of it. Glad you enjoyed the BBQ facilities. Hopefully you found some herbs in the garden - still waiting for our vegies to come forth.

If you are travelling to the Barossa do yourself a favour and stay here! Everything was perfection. The grounds were beautiful, the room warm and cosy (but so big and spacious at the same time) - you even have your own courtyard. But it's the little things that truly make it from the delicious breakfast provisions to the nespresso machine and the glass of wine you might share out the back with Chris & Jayne. Jayne even drove us to dinner one night and picked us up so that we could enjoy some wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already talking about when we can come back.

Thanks Chris & Jayne for everything.

Jayne and Chris were just fantastic. When we arrived in Adelaide we had trouble renting a car (really busy around Christmas/New Years, so book ahead). I called Jayne and she suggested booking a tour to get into the Barossa, which turned out to be the best way to go. We were dropped off at the tour at Whistler farm, and the cheese platter and Nespresso machine waiting for us were just what we needed.

Jayne came home soon after and we asked how we might get around without a car. We explained our situation and they actually let us borrow their car for the 2 days we stayed with them! Then they dropped us at the local town to get a bus back towards Adelaide. Such generosity is not so common in the big cities, and it made our stay in the Barossa, and more specifically at Whistler Farm, absolutely amazing.

The Barossa is one of my favourite places to get away from it all, relax and drink loads of free wine. I will definitely be back, and hopefully will be able to book into Whistler Farm again, what a great place.

Thank you Jayne and Chris!

An exceptional B and B with warm hospitality and wonderful accommodation. Jayne and Chris are the perfect hosts, helpful , friendly and they cannot do enough to help you.
Jayne even booked a restaurant for us and chauffeured us there and back, you can't get any better than that.
We stayed in the Olive room which was quiet, spotlessly clean and most importantly a comfy bed.
A great platter was left for us and even a complimentary bottle of wine.
Breakfast was fresh and wholesome to have at your leisure and Jayne even washes up for you too!
We will certainly tell our friends back in he UK about our wonderful find.
Thanks Di and Keith Ludeman
