“All the little things...great stay”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

A lovely 2 nights at Whistle Farm B&B with my partner recently, the host Jayne & Chris were very welcoming. The accommodation was well presented and comfortable...but it was all the little things that made our stay memorable; cheese platter on arrival, bottle of wine from either cellar, yummy breakfast provisions, the BBQ and a gorgeous courtyard!!! Not to mention they kindly dropped us off in town for dinner. Amazing hosts!

Our short stay was the perfect sojourn to our lightening trip to the Barossa. Jane the host was so friendly and warm and full of great tips and ideas on what we could do in the area - especially on our next trip! Great location, "help yourselves to a bottle of wine from the cellar" - how good is that! Very comfy rooms - got everything, iPad, Nespresso, beautiful out look. We will be staying at Whistler again for sure.

Room Tip: Any room is good, although apparently the other room has a wood heater which would be nice.

My partner Jayne and I visited Whistler Farm with our little 3 and a half month old son Benson on a lovely winter weekend in the Barossa. We loved the suite it was cosy warm and very inviting with the wood heater. The farm fresh eggs were delicious for breakfast as were the tomatoes and fruit provided. We couldn't ask for more and were spoilt for breakfast choices. A visit to the winery for a tasting is a must along with a walk through the orphaned kangaroo enclosure. The reserve shiraz is to die for. Chris and Jayne our hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome on their farm. We highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return with our family in the next few years. The ipad and information brochures provided were a lovely touch.

Room Tip: Choose the Vineyard room if it's available. The wood heater was cosy for a winters afternoon an...

Whistler Farm B&B is a very nice and clean place with very helpful and friendly hosts. Everything was well organized, we were shown around the winery as well. Breakfast pamper was good. Thank you very much!

Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley Whistler Farm provides extremely comfortable and spacious accomodation with all the trimmings. Including a bottle of wine of your choice from a well stocked cellar of the excellent Whistler wines. Chris and Jayne are welcoming and helpful hosts who have the knack of making you feel right at home. This is quite the best B&B I have experienced. You won't regret staying here!

I booked a night at Whistler Farm for my husband and I, a child free night! We stayed in the Olive Suite which was very nice and well presented. The offer of the Whistler wine from the cellar is a lovely touch (and tasty) and the provisions supplied were plentiful. We didn't actually get to meet Jayne or Chris but the personal letter in the room offering to join them at a Candlelight Concert was lovely. Our only negative comment is that as the suites are part of the main house, you are at the mercy of your neighbours and the not so quiet plumbing. The grounds and the view from our room was wonderful. Very pleasant indeed!

Hope you both enjoyed your child free night. Children are precious but every now and then it is nice to have time out for yourselves - and it is nice for a Nanna like me to be able to look after the Grandies.

Great location close to barossa towns and walking distance to maggie beers

we stayed in the vineyard suite and we enjoyed the view over the garden with the eagle sculpture in the gum tree .The pot fireplace made room nice and cosy .

everything worked including bbq -started first go - i pad was very useful to check what was on ,opening times etc . there was also a personal note telling us what was on and we ended up joining the opening of arts festival - 5 different wineries with art opening at each together with a different course and matching wine - all for $70.One of the best days we have had in a long time

chris really is mr barrossa - knows everyone all the history and what to see and do .Nothing was too much trouble -including arranging for sending a dozen mixed wines back to sydney .

we were sorry we were only there for 2 days

So glad you enjoyed your time at our place. Sorry I only caught up with you briefly due to my trip to Melbourne. I was very disappointed that I could not attend the art show as I had planned but sounds like you along with Chris and Annette had a wonderful time. I will do it next year.
