“Did not meet expectations”

The Lord Lyndoch setting and location were the restaurants biggest attraction. Service was average, however this may have been due to it being a busy night. If you are after a pub meal with restaurant prices then this is your place. Positive: Good local wine, location,

“Cosy but a bit Expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

This is a very friendly restaurant in Lyndoch.
Food is varied and should suit all.
The price for the foods were a bit over the top beinmg in the low to mid $30's for the steaks. Although very nice the food does not justify that level of cost.

There is a cafe style restaurant in the front of the premises but am unsure if it offers a different fare at a different price level.

The Lord Lyndoch is a fantastic place to enjoy fine food and wine. We spent a weekend at Lyndoch and went to dinner at this fantastic restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and delightful. Will certainly book in again for a romantic dinner for two :-) Thank you for making our weekend very very special. Thank you from L & R :-)

“Great Pub Style Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012

Our first meal in the Barossa after abandoning any further woeful meals at the Novotel Barossa Valley. We didn't book for dinner (we should have) but the front coffee shop area was still available, so we were seated there by the very friendly and attentive staff. The menu is extensive, and a cut above the standard counter meal. We shared a salt and pepper squid entree, the squid was very good, albeit a bit strange to include chips, served with a sweet chilli sauce. Darling had the lamb rack, it was massive, and the lamb was beautiful, cooked medium rare, the mint vinegarette was unusual, and extremely tasty, maybe just a little overpowering. The Angus Beef Pie was great, slightly disappointed the pastry was cooked off the pie, sometimes the crispy yet soggy pastry cooked on the pie makes the dish, but otherwise, it was perfect. The vegetables were hot and not overcooked, just perfect. We would certainly recommend this place.
