As a previous reviewer has said, don't judge this motel by "its cover". The front grounds are not manicured, but the motel itself offers clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff and a quiet peaceful location. Can't ask for much more in a country motel. The meal I ordered by room service from the restaurant adjacent to the motel was OK, but I chose to eat elsewhere on my second night.

Don't be put off by the poor front area and signage, it is on huge block and the motel is super. Large room with dbl and sgl beds, some cutlery and plates, toaster. When staying again in area I will be back.

Room Tip: They give seniors discount.

The perfect no brainer for the family. Comfortable, quiet two bedroom family room - good bistro that happily made up a couple of meals off t
he menu for tired kids - nice clean pool with BBQ facilities and only 8 km's to the ferry terminal in the morning.

The staff is friendly, the room very clean and spacious, nicely decorated, with brick walls providing a very quite environment. A couch, table and chairs, a bar fridge, toaster and coffee making facilities is also provided. There is also an excellent on-site swimming pool.
The TV is a good size with clear reception. The wifi connection is excellent, at a cost of $6.00 per hour, the motel providing one hour free. The motel is well situated for local attractions such as Moonta's fabulous beach with it's incredible jetty, just over ten minutes drive and Ardrossan has the best cornish pasties and vanilla slices we have ever eaten and is well worth the 45min drive. We also enjoyed our vist to Innes National Park with its incredible beaches and ghost town despite the long drive. Just remember to pay the $8.00 permit fee.
An Pobel, the on-site restaurant is one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at and as we often travel here and overseas, this is quite a compliment. Carol, the owner, is extremely gracious and goes out of her way to make patrons feel welcome and definitely succeeds. The menu contains a variety of choices, both excellently cooked and presented. As we ate there three nights in a row, we were surpised that the meals were consistently of a such a high standard, which is not our usual experience and we can personally vouch for the chicken schnitzel with pepper gravy to die for, deliciously tender fillet of beef and the best barramundi meal ever.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
