Meals are quite large and menu is typical take away food items. The owners are very nice and obliging but seemed to be still getting used to the process of running a cafe.

A pleasant little cafe in the centre of the town. Personality and friendliness shone when we wondered by this place and the owner was happy to share his local knowledge even before we bought anything. We certainly appreciated the fact that we could get a nice coffee as early as 7am.

Only had lunch here, but would have not hesitated to have an evening meal as well had it not been so basic in style. Nevertheless, the service and friendliness offered us by the host was exceptional, and appeared to always make every customer, no matter how great or small the order, feel especially important.
More basic than a formal restaurant, and the menu tended to be more akin to a fast food outlet, but for a light meal or just a cup of coffee, it is a must visit when in Burra.

We were driving from Adelaide to Brisbane and stopped here for refreshment. I have no idea why Burra is linked with Cornwall in the UK, but when I saw pasties on the menu I had to have one. The last pasty I had was in Padstow in Cornwall and whilst the Burra one could not compete it was a good one. My partner had a sausage roll which was also good and we had chips and gravy to accompany our faire-delicious. The owner was a happy, friendly guy and the place itself was quaint. Have a walk down to the war memorial-a sobering reminder of how many young men lost their lives in both wars.

We stayed in Burra for the night and were looking at heading off reasonably early. This cafe and the bakery were our only options. We decided on this cafe as the options at the bakery were very limited for breakfast. At this cafe we enjoyed nice, hot cooked breakfast. The owners were very nice and the shop had all types of artwork for sale.
