We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon enjoying the delicious wines at Yalumba. Lisa was the perfect host and Lisa an her colleague taught us all about the various types of wine made around Barossa. Best of all it was all free! Oh and the surroundings aren't bad either.

We have visited a large number of wineries over the previous six months, and found Yalumba to be one of the more pleasant, welcoming cellar doors. I was not aware of some of the fantastic wines which came out of this place (FDR I am looking at you). The staff really made us feel like they wanted us there, and wanted to stimulate our senses with their wines. The setting though, WOW. Such a lovely walk on an autumns day around the golden leaf strewn paths, taking in views of heritage buildings.
I would recommend anyone to go out of their way if in Barossa to visit Yalumba. We left with a few cheap bottles of bubby but vow to return for a birthday treat for a case of FDR.

We went here as our last stop in barossa. Big mistake!!! Should have gone earlier... Out of all the commercial wines this was the best... Great setting and Service we received from LISA was amazing... Try some of the signature and FDR ranges truly amazing.... Now we need to find these great wines in SYDNEY....

Had a great tasting at Yalumba, got to experience many of the wines we do not get at home in MTL, Canada. The hostess was very nice and gave us the best tip for lunch at Maggy Beer's - thanks again!!!

Cellar lady Lisa treated us royally, was amusing and charming, and more than encouraged us to taste many wines - we must have tried 25 at least. We had several comparison tastings of 3 of a kind, right up to tastes of fine rare wines like The Signature and The Octavius. The winery is a beautiful set of heritage buildings, and worthy visit just for that. We will long remember a marvellous 2 hours there.

Thank Anne I
