This facility is not a Hotel but a series of unserviced shacks without a restaurant and a considerable from shops or restaurants. While very clean and well appointed it was not what we read in the description.

Dear Guest

I am very sorry to hear your comments regarding our resort. To dispel your comment we are not a Hotel and do not sell as one we are a fully self contained apartment complex offering resort facilities. The onsite cafe is not owned by the resort, therefore we have no control over it's operation. We are located directly beside the Point Lookout Bowls club and a short 800m walk to the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel both of which offer dinning solutions. Our reception is more than happy to direct guests to other dinning options and assist them with any queries that they may have. I thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you feel that the description mislead you, I do hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

Regards

Naomi Henny

We recently stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with 2 families - magic spot - enjoyed the beach just across the Road, & the kids happily spent the rest of the time in the resort pool. Perfect holiday spot, safe, quiet, lovely accommodation - clean & very comfortable. Layout of the villa worked really well, giving each family privacy. We will be back!

We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa for 3 nights over the long weekend. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and fitted ourselves and another family OK. We had previously stayed higher up at Straddy for the views but found staying on the flat was great. Walk to the beach and the kids spent hours on their scooters and bikes on the internal resort roads + the skate park across the road and at the pool.Resort management were excellent and gardens/grounds were well kept. We will definitely come again and recommend highly.

We stayed 2 nights (April 2012) in a "shack" style apartment. Here were the let downs:

- Missing front door handle (used the lock to open the door), hole in the door where handle missing.
- No phone reception and no manager to greet us at reception of resort (management knew we were on 7pm ferry to island). Had to use a payphone on the main road (in the pouring rain) to phone manager to greet us at reception (spoke to other people and they had the same experience).
- Bathroom leaks rainwater (windows have only a screen). This caused the kitchen to get slight flooding.
- Austar channels only 50% available (if that). TV not flatscreen, but old box style television).
- Bed pillows and mattresses extremely old and worn out. Had sore neck and back as a result. Mattress dipped in the middle quite severely.
- And not a big issue but add to the list: the clock battery not working.
- Reservations booked our ferry for us, and then was reluctant to help us change the time when we requested. NOTE: Buy your own ferry tickets online so All Seasons reservations don't rip you off and then not want to assist you with the booking THEY made a commission on.

I would definitely not stay here again. There is so much accommodation on the island, take your time to search for something worth the money.

Room Tip: Don't choose a room near the pool, carpark or children's playground..you will get no sleep!

Dear Customer

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the All Seasons Stradbroke Island. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.

In relation to the late check in procedure due to the nature of our property being located in a remote location on an Island the ferries control your arrival times and they are not always on time. We attempt to meet all customer requests of arrival times and contact all guests to inform them of the after hours check in procedure. Management was at check in within 5 minutes of your phone call.

The other concerns that were mentioned are part of a remedial renovation project that will be occurring in June, I am terribly sorry that your room displayed water issues there was no attempt to contact management to allow us to remedy the leak or to provide you with a solution at the time of the unforeseen incident. Had an attempt been made then we would have made every effort to rectify the concerns and correct your stay.

I also believe that my receptionist assisted you in contacting the ferry company but we were unable to assist as we have no control over the ferry times or whether there are spaces available for you to amend your times too. In relation to the cost discrepancies I would like to clarify that if you book direct with the ferry company over the phone the cost is $146 if you book online the cost is $129 and if we process the booking for you it will cost $125.

I would also like to clarify that as a property we have no control over the connectivity of specific service providers for your telephones. I would like to thank you for making some positive observations at all seasons, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence.
