“Loved the jumping pillow and water area!”
Reviewed November 29, 2013 via mobile

Read about this place online and thought it was so cool! Located just opposite the Australia Fair Shopping Mall, this is a great place to bring the kids.

We went to the jumping pillow and it was so fun! The kids had a blast jumping themselves crazy!

We wanted to go to the bouncy house water area but was dismayed to hear that only kids above 10 were allowed. Kids between 5-10 needed an adult to be around.

We then went to the water play area for younger kids and everybody had the most wonderful time! My 8 year old has been bugging me to go back again!

“Safe and fun”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

The Rockpools at Southport are a lovely, FREE, play area for kids. The water is never too deep, the surface is safe for them to run about on, never slippery. There is plenty of room for families to set up beach chairs and lots of shade in the Rockpool area so that sun overexposure can be avoided. The beach at Broadwater is immediately next to the Rockpools, so if a family wants to go down to the beach that easy too. There is plenty of parking for a fee.

“The Rockpools”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Gold Coast is famous for its beaches, but finding a spot for your kids to cool off is near impossible. Try the Rockpools instead.

Situated on the Southport marina, as part of the Broadwater Parklands, the Rockpools is an exciting water playground, children of all ages can enjoy.

The first of its kind on the Gold Coast, its coastal theme, with pool areas a creek bed, simulate the coastal tides, as the pools fill and empty with water.

Father of two Andy, said the Rockpools are also very educational for his children.

“It’s a great place for children to have a lot of fun, but also learn how the tidal system works.”

The playground also features waterfalls and jets that squirt periodically for more enjoyment.

While some parents enjoy and a ‘dip’ themselves, most sit back, enjoy a coffee, and watch their kids enjoy the sun and ‘surf’ Gold Coast has to offer.

“Awesome Idea”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Great for the kids, a paddle pool inspired by the ebbs and flows of the ocean, located across the road from Australia Fair shopping centre and near the beach front. Free of charge with a great little cafe nearby. A lovely free activity to do on a nice sunny day in the GC
