We unfortunately arrived while Surfers Paradise was declared a State of Emergency due to a storm. As we arrived at about 8.30pm reception was closed and the instructions for getting into the hotel after hours were not correct, however when we finally got in the managers were extremely helpful. Our 2 bedroom unit was comfortable, a little tired in places but considering the price we paid thought it was value for money. We had family in the unit next door and their unit was in much better condition than ours so it is just luck of the draw. The second bedroom is not completely closed off from the living areas as they use shutters instead of doors, but due to our children being older was not a problem for us. The views were amazing, if you were staying in the heart of surfers with the same views the cost would be twice the price. We would definately stay again.

We stayed at Crystal Bay for one night recently for a sports event. Staff were friendly and helpful when taking our booking. The location was very good and the views were amazing. Close to several places to eat including a short walk to KFC (next door) and maccas. There is an amazing thai place just down the road (The Lime Leaf). Crystal bay would have been a stunner in its day, but is looking tired in the rooms (carpets, quilts, and general decore and starting to look a bit grotty with worn/faded/food marked fabric lounges ) We were given a specail rate due to a group booking, so i cant complain there, although one family was denied the group rate despite explaining they were a part of the group.....so they went elsewhere!!!. Its probably ok value for $$ if on a budget......there were certainly "no frills" with not even a complimentry soap/shampoo insight....one family didnt have any toilet paper. I probably wouldnt stay there again until they spend some money updating.....

Needed to book a 2 bedroom apartment close to Surfers Paradise for a function on a saturday night. Most apartments in Surfers like that will set you back $300 or more, so price was definitely a factor when booking. We got the apartment for $200 for the night.

The apartments themselves are not extremely modern, but nor are they old and tired. They are clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The building itself has a wonderful pool area with spa, steam room, sauna and barbeques. There's also a games room to entertain the kids.

The views are wonderful as well, looking across the broadwater to Sea World.

Highly recommended if you're watching the pennies and still want value for money.
