“lovely bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

Sat in the big open windows most days on the high seats after leaving the Settlement cove having a lovely cold lager (cheapest in Redcliffe! so could have more!) Food was also excellent loved the area with the pokies too. It was trimmed up lovely with xmas decorations, nothing bas to say about this great bar!

“Poor Service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Visited this one with a local who had been before and recommended it. Te menu seemed reasonable, the venue is what is, view of the ocean and all seemed well. However first course some Bruschetta for the table and it looked like soggy piece of garlic bread with the smallest amount of topping ever, It didn't even cover the soggy bread. Then came mains, well 2 of the four dishes were completely wrong, so everything back while the kitchen sorts it out. 15 Minutes later all dishes arrive, the other seemed like they had just been kept warm in the kitchen until the fish was ready, so taste, not so good. The Thai salad didn't have the stated roasted cashews, this was nicely pointed out to staff. A bowl was produced with cashews straight out of a packet. The waiter would appear remove a couple of empty glasses and leave the rest, never to be seen again. Another person turned up and took a couple of empty plates and left the rest, so I guess they are trained not to clear the table completely. Overall this was really poor staff with no professionalism, and no I was not expecting a 5 star restaurant, but many many pubs do much better than this. Even the locals aid they wouldn't return it was that bad.
