“Good cafe for brunches and lunches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

I have been going to Banjo's for quite a few years as I used to travel to Tasmania a fair bit on business. I was pleased to see one in Redcliffe when I moved into the area.
This is a bakery style cafe and being a Tasmanian business the food is pretty good and it is not expensive either.
Good choice for a bakery style brunch or lunch.

“Terrible service, disorganised, not good value.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

The one shining light about this place was the flavours, which admittedly were excellent... but the list of complaints is as long as my arm. Small portion sizes, terrible service, limited menu, unfriendly staff, long wait, food brought out before drinks, did I mention TERRIBLE service? Don't bother coming here, there are much better places within 100m.

“Take a break”

Really good coffee and lovely Danish pastries - really good pastry
Friendly helpful girls serving. Pigeons fly in and eat the crumbs off the floor.

“What a rip-off!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

I have to update my earlier review of Banjos, which was quite favourable, because this place has 'gone off' big time! I hadn't stopped by for a little while, and the first thing I noticed was a hefty price increase of several dollars on all items on the breakfast menu. I wasn't happy about it, but nonetheless, I ordered the 'works' breakfast. When it came, I was flabbergasted! The quantity of food had shrunk by about 30% at least. There were two tiny pieces of bacon that would have been flat out making up a normal rasher, that were overcooked and like leather. The two poached eggs were almost hard-boiled, with the yolks set solid. A scant serve of mushrooms and baked beans, 1 small piece of grilled tomato and 2 small slices of toast made up the rest. No sausage! If this is their idea of a 'works' breakfast and good value for money, they must be from Mars! The bakery itself is very good, and I will continue to patronize it, but it will be a long time before my hard earned dollars will be spent on breakfast there again! Very disappointing!

“Great place to buy fresh bread in the mornings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Was stopping close by and was looking for a bakery to provide fresh bread in the mornings for my families breakfasts. Came across this place whilst wandering along the front. The staff were very helpful, and after the first loaf of pasta doh was devoured over breakfast I never looked at trying anywhere else. We tried other breads and buns that were sold and loved them all, and the king pie is great.

Never tried the cafe there, just used the bakery which is at the back of the shop, but if that was anything to go by, it'd be a good place to eat.
