We went to the Carribee at Mon Como and we were disappointed. The restaurant is not seperated from the bar and other areas of the hotel so its more of a bar meal than a restaurant. It was stiffling inside until one of our group openned the overhead louvre windows. Our drinks were ordered and served within a reasonable time but there was a 40 minute wait before our food order was taken. The bread and dips consisted of three small bowls of dip and five slices of toast at about $15, not good value. The mains were good and served on a stylish square plate but it was let down by serving the smallish salad in a chunky looking suffle bowl. When we had mosly finished the waitress came and collected our plates whilst one of our group was still eating. This is a fault in many establishments and is a very impolite practice and since I am on a roll, we paid $62.50 a head (including two bottles of wine) and all we had was paper napkins.
Unfortunately the Carribee did not meet our expectations and does not represent good value at this time.
