We dined at this restaurant for lunch with friends recently. We were seated by a friendly waitress who gave us a menu and told us to order at the counter when we were ready. This involved queing behind lots of other people which took about 15 minutes. Not a good start.
Forty five minutes later we had not received our entrees. We politely enquired twice before we finally received them and by this time we had been seated for an hour and a quarter. So then we waited for our main courses, and waited, and waited. More polite enquiries to the waitress and still we waited. Eventually she came back to our table and told us that our orders had been "lost" between the front desk and the kitchen. It took us two and a half hours to receive and eat a two course meal.
They did offer us a free round of drinks which we accepted but our overall dining experience was spoilt by the long delays. The food was nothing special, rather overpriced and more like you would expect to receive in a pub. There was also no table service for drinks so once again, we had to queue at the bar. There was no dedicated bar server, just whoever was free at the time covered the bar, so the level of expertise was quite low.
This restaurant could be much better with a few changes. Scrap the electronic order system and introduce table service for food and drinks. The outlook is spectacular with wonderful views out over Suttons Beach and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
