“Very average breakfast”
Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

Had breakfast with 3 other people, this restaurant has an excellent location with very good views. They no longer have table service, so you have to go up to the counter and order. I think this restaurant suffers from staff shortages. Drinks were delivered to 2 people first and we had to ask again about the other drinks, we were told the order was lost. The breakfasts were average for the price, we have been to this restaurant several times for breakfast, I think we will be give this a miss for a while.

“awesome location but give it a miss”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

We decide to have a family birthday lunch here on a sunny sunday, mainly because the location & outlook are spectacular. On arrival it looked nice & we had a lovely table inside while obviously the best location is outside our older guests wanted the aircon. We got our drinks after lining up to order & being told the automated order system was out of order. Then we had to get up & line up again to order our food, still with the order system out of order. I dont usually go to a restaurants to line-up to order i thought it was tacky, lazy & reeked of the whole place being understaffed. But having said that the staff were really very pleasant, clearly frustrated with the broken order system.........yes service was slow as a snail but i think they were just doing the best they could. In fact it was told to us that their order system is always out of order!!
The food was ok not great or outstanding.
The real problem for our guests were that we had a lady in a wheel chair who needed a helper to take her to the ladies room & the disabled toilet was out of order. This made it a chore & a bit of a drama to have our guest ues the standard single ladies cubicle.
I think this place is confused weather its a restaurant, bistro or fish & chips shop. Also you dont need to be einstein to see that this place is being run on the smell of an oily rag & that building maintenance is sorely being neglected & so are the staff & the equipment used to make their job more efficent & the dinners experience more memorable.

One thing i do know I wont be heading back there anytime soon to spend my hard earned.

“A very disappointing takeaway from this restaurant with a previously good reputation.”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

A beautiful Brisbane winter's day, great views of the Bay, meeting the family for fish and chips in the park at Sutton's Beach. A great idea but spoilt by the very poor quality of the fish and the chips from Sails. The fish was definitely not what we paid for and the chips were greasy and unattractive. Very disappointing as this restaurant has previously had a good reputation and there are many other places which could have provided a much better meal. Maybe Sails needs to focus on the quality of their take-away area as it sounds as though people have been happy with the restaurant itself.

“Lovely spot for lunch on a sunny day”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

Enjoyed a casual lunch on a sunny day, sitting outside - lovely spot near the beach. Service was excellent (thankyou Marika) - enjoyed a starter platter, good reasonably priced bottle of cold white wine and a great dessert. Not rushed or bothered. Just loved the place - great menu, good choices and reasonably priced. Could not fault.
