I love Queens Park. It has so many "faces" depending on what you want to do for the day. Lie on the grass under one of the trees and relax, picnic at the tables, walk by the water, exercise on the boardwalk, play with the "musical instruments" installation, jump on the play equipment, explore the Military Trail (see separate review), and see some of the city's street art on the Mural Project nearby (separate review). There's even a miniature train (check times of operation though). A great community space with plenty to appeal to tourists as well.

The park is an oasis in the middle of town. It was a beautiful walk and the Anzac memorial trail was well thought out with wonderful sound effects and story line. We spent over an hour just wandering. Well worth the visit.

Relatively new Military Memorial is well worth the visit. Also the old rotunda in the gardens is heritage listed. Miniature steam trains, and the Mary Ann Steam Train work on last Sunday of each month. A lovely walk through the gardens with views along the Mary River. Shopping and cafes are not too far away.

Still looking good even in the dry times. Just a pleasure to walk around and enjoy the many features in the park. Must do when in Maryborough.
