“Amazing view, ocean, beach and peaceful, well appointed.”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

We booked this when traveling with another couple at short notice. We arrived and we were immediately looked after. For a complicated reason we needed to look at another room ( our request) and we were offered a great deal on the Penthouse which we took! My girlfriend and I were in heaven! It was so gorgeous, the view the layout, the amenities all the lovely nice things in a resort style self contained apartment. The weather and view was amazing and we slept with doors open and the sound of the sea rocking us off to sleep. Lazy times on the huge verandas in the afternoon or for a long break chatting away with sweeping views all the way to Fraser Island.
There is a fantastic and popular restaurant on site and when it was fully booked we were disappointed, but they organised for us to be able to pop down and collect the meals and take them to our penthouse instead....we just rang and said ready for next course please! We loved it it was hard to leave only had 2 nights.

Room Tip: Penthouse or ask for ocean view

The two of us had a magnificent 3 days in the spacious lower floor apartment (No 6, I think). It still had good views. There are concertina doors onto the veranda to let the outside in. Yet the architect was very clever to keep views into other apartments private. Full kitchen, laundry facilities, big bathroom, great spa but overall just a great feeling of light and space. So close to the Carlo sandblow you should go there at sunrise as well as sunset. Pool heated in winter. A lift if you don't like to take the stairs. Lots of DVDs to choose from at the front desk. But you can't beat the sound of the surf crashing on the beach as you wake up in the morning.

My husand & I stayed for 2 nights on the May longweekend in apartment 8 on the first floor. The apartment was huge and had a lovely view of the ocean. The apartment has just been recently painted and was very clean and well looked after. The resort is in a quiet street and just a quick walk up the hill to the National Park and Carlo Sandblow. The sandblow is amazing first thing in the morning and especially beautiful at sunset although it is pretty busy with European backpapers. The resort is about a 10 minute walk down into the town but slightly longer coming home back up the stairs near the caravan park and don't forget your torch as there are no lights on the pathway.
We ate the bistro and the food was fabulous and well priced. The service was first class and I would say this is the best place to eat in Rainbow Beach.
We would definitely recommend staying at this resort.

Room beautiful and view sublime, best part was hearing the ocean all night and the birds all day. Could see the ocean while lying in bed, can't get much better! I was in room two for a whole week in April and loved it.

We stayed two nights in the penthouse apartment 12. When we first opened the door, the view took our breath away. The location was convenient (especially by car) to the main town area of Rainbow Beach but was really nice being away from all the noise of a town.

Mark was great, helping us in advance booked a trip to Fraser Island and setting up a surf lesson for my husband.

We would definitely stay there again if we ever return to that area.

Hi Kathy32530

We have to agree that at 87m (270ft) above the ocean the views are absolutely breathtaking of Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island from your room.

Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again next time you are in Australia.

We stayed in "penthouse 12" in feb 2012, we Loved the view and the friendly service.... However the room should not be called a penthouse, this is very deceiving. It was just another room "the same as the rest" but on the top floor, the floors throughout the unit were floating timber floors that needed maintenance as they creaked all night the first night we were there... It was furnished nicely and was modern however it lacked basic maintenance on some things. The pool was fantastic... I would stay here again but would not pay the "penthouse" price again.
