Around 4 years ago we holidayed at 1770 and ate at this restaurant and it was the first time I had eaten Thai food. I couldn't believe how good it was and have been searching for a Thai restaurant on the Gold Coast since that tastes like Yok Attack. I finally found one I love the food at after 3 years.
We are holidaying again at 1770 and ate there again last night and again the food was unreal. It's very clean and fresh tasting and doesn't have the oily sugary taste that most other Thai food I have had since. Beautiful flavours just ask for a little more chilli if you like a bit of bite as I think they cater for the majority who seem to like milder rather than spicy Thai.
Food prices are about 15-20% dearer than on the Gold Coast but you kind of expect that in out if the way holiday towns but if the food is good I don't mind paying. I will be back again before we go home guaranteed.

Good food, quite tasty, but had to wait a while before being served because the restaurant was understaffed this day and it was really crowded!
Yok is a nice person, aware of the thoughts of her customers.

Having a break from cooking we went for thai takeaway and were sorely disappointed. Firstly, it was extremely overpriced even taking into consideration location/transport costs ($100 for 3 dishes and 2 starters). The order was ready 30mins after when we'd been told it would be ready. The Pat thai was unlike anything we'd had before, too salty to even eat and the meat was chewy. We had trouble distinguishing between a curry and a stirfry as both sauces seemed to have the same watery consistency. The veges were not fresh and picked out of most dishes and kept to the side. The rice was gluggy and inedible. Wish we had read prior trip advisor reviews before deciding where to eat. Reading the previous review, constructive criticism should be taken on board.

This was possibly the worst meal I've ever eaten! Very bad food and very expensive! We paid over $100 for only 4 dishes. The meat tasted old and rubbery! The sweet & sour sauce tasted like it was straight from tomato sauce bottle! The vegetables were frozen! And the spoons and forks were dirty! Avoid at all costs!!!

Clients ordered far too much food,, mixed entree, 3 mains and large rice, the only food not eaten, some sweat and sour sauce along with a few vegetables from that dish. They did complain about the the Pat Thai being too hot, probably because they more than likely took a spoon of chilli flakes not knowing what the flakes were. None of the vegetables used were frozen, only fresh vegetables used. All meat was eaten. Yok Attack enjoys a high proportion of return patronage which has keep her in business for the last 12 years, while many of the other establishments in town have changed hands and in many cased closed down for extended periods. Reviews like above and some of the others came seriously damage an establishments reputation. The Clients also gave their accommodation in Agnes Water a poor review. Can anonymous reviewers hiding behind trip advisor , be taken seriously ?
