Wow, leving Darwin, the termite mounds, then Buley Rockhole was pretty good, Florence Falls even better but go the extra mile in a four wheel drive with a wild hike to TJaynera Falls and you will be blown away. A quiet beautiful swimming hole, no crocs, with waterfalls, superb. On return stopped at Wangi Falls. A long, day full of adventure.

We have been to Lichfield several times. It is a very interesting place not far from Darwin. Lovely waterfalls and walks to enjoy.

Had a wonderful day travelling with Litchfield tours and our driver Diesel Dan.
The tour started with the Jumping Crocs-Dan showed us a python then took us out on to the Adelaide River.Saw a lot of crocodiles-ancient looking prehistoric creatures!
I loved the kites that came in to the boat for feeding-that was amazing!!
Litchfield is a beautifully preserved park with lots of waterfalls and water holes where one can swim and cool down. The Florence Falls have a lot of steps so you need to be able to manage the climb. The termite mounds are an incredible feat of nature and well worth seeing! Diesel Dan from the tour company was very informative and knowledgeable-think 'Steve Irwin' in personality-he was so enthusiastic and participated in all parts of the tour. When the tour finished at an Aboriginal Art Gallery he could even play the didgereedoo!!What a virtuoso!!
The lunch was basic and everyone helped to make the sandwiches etc.Perfect for this sort of tour. The price was reasonable and the tour entertaining with good value
for money. The day was hot but water was available all day with 2 stops at a garage for toilets/refreshments etc.
Thanks for a great day Diesel Dan and Litchfield Tours:)

Great swimming & waterfalls. Easy access by vehicle, no need for 4x4 to most of the water holes & waterfalls. Check the national parks web sites to check for closures due to croc sightings & flooding. Wangi falls, Florence falls and Buley rock pools, are a must visit, for locals and tourists alike.
