Popped in to the museum with half an hour left until they closed. We have 3 young children and although it is not particularly interactive there are lots of stories for them read about (or be read to) and lots of skeletons to look at. Gorgeous view of the bay from the museum.
Worth a stop but with young kids an hour max is probably the longest you can stay.

The staff knew a great deal about this history and wildlife of the area and we very friendly and managed to keep two young children interested and asking questions. Everyone had a great time.

Great museum focusing on fishing, timber and of course Eden's famous killer whales. Great location looking out over the bay.

An interesting collection of memorabilia associated with the local whaling industry. Staff were helpful.

What a fantastic place!
It is evident that there has been a lot of recent building works at the museum.
The exhibits are great, although there is a lot of reading, interesting for adults but maybe not so much the kids. More interactive displays would be an advantage for family groups.
The story of Old Tom is fascinating. To think that orcas helped man herd whales into the bay so that they could be processed, is truly amazing. They must have been very smart.
Well done to the committee, who continue to provide a top class museum for the public.
