My daughter & I spent a very relaxed evening in this lovely bed & breakfast. Great views and lots of extra touches such as fresh flowers, cookies and wine time make this a great destination. Would love to stay again.

A delight to have you both stay.
We hope the journey to Phillip Island was enjoyable and that the weather wasn't too bad.
I bet the driving hours for the L plater are getting close to the required number.
Something lovely about a mother daughter road trip.
Thank you for finding us!

We had stayed at Snug Cove more than three years ago, so were looking forward to another comfortable evening after a perilous trip in driving rain from Canberra and through Cooma. Ringing ahead, we were delighted to hear that there was room for us. Jennifer and Eric are truly outstanding hosts, endlessly thoughtful and attuned to guests’ needs yet unobtrusive. Afternoon nibbles of cheese, biscuits, olives and pesto and some very pleasant wine are set out around 5 pm in the guest living room, encouraging interaction between fellow travellers – or not, as they choose.

We ate at the local Fishermen’s Club, simple fare of salad and chips and the freshest fish – delicious. Our suite had ample evidence of Jennifer’s effervescent style and her collection of things eclectic. Warm and comfortable, our rooms were equipped with everything one could possibly need, from the excellent bedding down to the chocolate bar on each bedside table.

Fresh fruit salad and juice awaited us as we joined the breakfast table. Several menu options included our choice of the usual hearty mix, fare to set you well and truly on the road for a solid day’s driving. Our fellow travellers were heaping praise on muffins freshly prepared by Jennifer, and they did look inviting had we not already eaten so well.

Jennifer passed on a previous guest’s recommendation for a B&B just a little beyond our planned itinerary and it proved to be an excellent establishment we would not have found otherwise.

Snug Cove is aptly named and highly recommended and we look forward to staying there again.

Room Tip: They are all excellent, with balconies overlooking the harbour and the fishing fleet.

Thank you for not only returning to us but reviewing us as well.
I must admit I was very keen to know if you had enjoyed your stay at the reccommended destination. Would be awful to give bad advice.
Judging by your review we will continue to refer and we must stay there on our next trip to Melbourne.

Always lovely to have happy campers.

We would travel back all the way from NY to Australia just to stay at the Snug Cove. Perfect spot to stop on our way from Sydney to Melbourne and though just an overnight stay over a cloudy, rainy day, we enjoyed it very much. The rooms were wonderful, views are outstanding, the hosts so warm and inviting. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Cannot fault Snug Cove, everything was perfect - the cheery telephone chat at booking, the welcome glass of wine and cheese, the very individual stylish furnishing, the cleanliness, orderly efficiency, attention to detail of every possible thing you could need and it's placement, the comfort of the bed, the view, the amazing breakfast, the delightful owners. Only problem really is that we are sure to be disappointed with every other place we stay on our road trip! Top marks to Snug Cove....... and we are truly fussy people.

Thanks to the spoonbills, pelicans, cormorants and black swans on the lake for adding to your Eden experience. Hope the few days you had in Eden stay with you both.
Thank you for your generous comments.

At the risk of parroting the other reviews, the simple fact of the matter is that the Snug Cove B&B is hands-down the accommodation in Eden, and easily one of the most splendid B&Bs I've ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable and delightfully quirky, the breakfasts are hearty and delicious, and the view over the cove simply can't be beat. While Eden isn't a particularly large town, it's worth noting that the CBD and harbour areas are both a short walk away, so any sort of shopping or dining out isn't a problem.

Room Tip: The western-most upstairs room has the nicest bathroom.

This is an interesting property overlooking the bay. Our upstairs room was quirky (a little less furniture would have worked better for me) with a great ensuite bathroom and a balcony with the same great view. The hosts were very friendly and welcomed us with a drink on the deck. Breakfast also served outside was amazing. The only negative were the stairs. One outside flight to the main floor and another flight to the upstairs bedrooms. Travel lightly! Could be an issue for some people.

Thank you very much for your review. Always nice when guests care enough to write.
Pleased you mentioned the stairs. We do try to make sure our guests are aware and help with luggage but a "heads up" is good.
Hope your journey was fantastic and that you have wonderful memories of Australia.

we drove to Eden from Bateman's Bay and were still jet lagged. This harbor-side B&B was so cozy and comfortable, it allowed us to relax and recover before continuing our trip along the coast to Melbourne. The breakfast was over the top, served on a deck overlooking the bay. The house is charming with tons of character and the hosts were helpful with every aspect of the stay, recommending walks, beaches and restaurants for us. Stay here and you won't be disappointed
