I have never eaten so well. The food was served is such a pleasant manner. The expression "Ate like a king" sure held true here. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the artifacts made of stain glass are top notch. So very beautiful. Can't wait to get another lamp.

Thanks Lisa and Elie

We arrived to this lodge bright and early to check in. The owners were very unfriendly when we arrived. The breakfast was very poor consisting of tiny pancakes. And I agree, it was very hard to find this lodge.

All in all, I would not recommend staying at this Lodge due to the unfriendly service and poor breakfast.

What a good feeling to see that we were not the only ones very offended by this man and I can tell you that the woman was not a hell of a lot better. We arrived early and she let us in but she gave us the impression to be on "something", very hyper and although borderline friendly nothing more.

Don't believe the management rep because it was the woman herself that told us not to trust a GPS but to follow her guide lines of up the hill, to the left, 3 km, to the left.... or something like that....

We were still in the door opening when she told us to pay right away "because tomorrow I might forget".....

My wife asked that the door to the washroom be fixed because she could not close it and the man showed his goodwill without fixing anything....

The next morning we were sitting in the salon, waiting for breakfast to be served when the man gets out of his room, looks at us, does not say any good morning and tells us that he was sleeping on the other side of the wall , with the emphasis on "was".

The breakfast consisted of 3 little pancakes, a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. She came by once to ask if we wanted maybe a toast which she did bring almost against her will. She than left us to sit outside and we did not see her anymore....

This was far from the usual Gaspe hospitality and one experience we could have done without. Further more this was the most expensive B&B and as far as the rooms go, the worst.

When you want to go fishing, I hear the man is good as a guide and maybe you don't care to much about such banalities as comfort, a good breakfast and a warm welcome?

You want to stay at the best place we experienced in our trip around the peninsula, try to reserve a room at "Le petit bonheur".
