Located on the terraced oceanside of the historical town of Gaspé, Qc., this property was once the residence of a prominent justice of the peace. Over the years the motel was expanded into a hotel complex. Today it offers a variety of rooms.

We were very pleased with the two story studio unit (which we were able to rent on the line) for one night. The unit was spotless (with a full kitchen) and nothing was broken.

Minutes away (by car) we found a super market (for groceries), and a fish markets for fresh lobster as well a some other regional species (yum).

We couldn't extend our stay beyond our reservation date; but, no regrets.

We loved it!

Room Tip: Reservations are required.

Spotless, modern and a great spot. The room we had was spacious with a very comfortable sofa and a wing chair. The bathroom was spotless but a little small. Had a small fridge and great a/c that was welcome in the heat of July. Slept like a baby even tho the one downfall, the bed was a little hard. Was on the second floor, where they had lawn chairs to sit outside. There were also chairs on the lawn where you could look over the bay. A short walk to restaurants and shopping, right from the property. Would definitely go back!! Best place that we have stayed at in years!

Room Tip: Make sure you have a view! (face the water)

My wife and I stayed here from July 7-8 2014. This is a motel in the heart of the town of Gaspe. There are a number of restaurants you can walk to and you are minutes from the waterfront.

Our room came with a queen bed and fully stocked kitchenette. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. The room we were in was on the first floor and we could hear everything in the room above us. This was very disruptive when the guests on the second floor got showered and left at 3am. Our room looked to be newly renovated. It did have a peculiar clean smell to it when we walked in. It wasn't a pleasant clean smell but one that was very chemically. I noticed when I first entered but it became less noticable through the stay.

The location is excellent, with beautiful views of the hills, river and bay. The front desk staff were helpfull and curteous, the room was clean.

For the price $95 you can't get a better deal. It's a great base from which to explore the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room. Ask for a room with a screen on the door window. Without it you won't be able to sleep past 6am.

The rooms were very clean and the view from the hotel was nice as it is perched on a hill. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room which was nice. The internet system required that you put in an individual password each time you logged on. This was a pain but apparently it is for security purposes. We have stayed in nicer hotels for around the same price but I really have no complaints.

The plusses: very clean. Good location. Friendly staff. Great restaurant nearby named Bris Brie. Room was newly renovated - nice and clean.

The minuses: Rooms not well lit. Bed was hard as a rock - might as well have slept on the floor. Room was newly renovated - all you could smell was the new carpet smell that burns your nose and eyes.
