On a trip through Gaspesie, we spent only one night in Gaspe, at this hotel. We found the staff to be friendly. Our room overlooked the water, and was lovely. Everything was in great shape, and the bed very comfortable. We found the hotel very quiet, which is important to us. We ate dinner at their restaurant and it was very, very good!

Stayed here for three nights on business. Really poor welcome..also when my partner phoned the receptionist insisted I was staying in another room and I was not in..not great and caused a lot of confusion. The hotel also had no idea about international codes or how to contact an operator to get a call to the UK. Pretty basic for an hotel you would think. Corridor to the rooms very dark and rooms ok but dismal. Overall this was hard work to stay three nights..overnight would be ok. Good service at breakfast though and food overall ok..although beware if you forget to tip on room service you will hear about it. I forget to tip on night two and was phoned to insist a tip was given, on night three the waitress who delivered the food reminded me about the tip policy..I paid howver the order was incorrect!! talk about priorities!! wouldnt go again if possible!

I stay here several times a year for business and the quality of the hotel has improved significantly. Rooms have been upgraded and service is better. The restaurant food quality is good, but it still takes forever to get your food.

Room Tip: Ask for view of bay.

Nicely appointed hotel rooms. Business rooms were very generous - could probably have gotten by with a standard room. Nice restaurant with good service. No fitness centre or laundry. Very good service at the front desk. Overall, this hotel is great value. Only complaint is that the desk phone wasn't working and didn't get fixed after I asked.

The hotel is in a terrific location overlooking the bay and is right on top of main street. It has a nice restaurant and bar. The updated rooms are very nice, but the older rooms are below what you would expect for a hotel of this price. The older rooms lack basic amenities, and the shared balcony is very loud. One morning I was awakened by the guests next door at 5 am as they were on the balcony. At night, the noise from the street was about the same as having an open window.

The resto bar was crowded one night, so I thought I would sit at the bar for faster service. I sat right in front of the bartender for 45 minutes and was not even offered the opportunity to drink a beer. When I finally left in frustration, I saw the "manager" of the hotel sitting in his office watching a hockey game while his stafff was struggling to keep up with the workload.

This hotel also has safety issues. The first floor hallway is a long set of 10-12 rooms with a dead bolted dead end door. The second floor hallway door opens up to a 6 foot drop. If there is a fire, you better be able to jump.

Check in and check out is fine and the staff there has always been helpftul. Housekeeping is good, but they did skip my room on one night during the week.

My son and I shared a double room at this early in early July. We had a room with a view of the bay - very nice. The room was clean, fresh towels were plentiful, and the cleaning staff were pleasant and efficient. They left extra coffee for my son and me.

There is an outdoor balcony that is accessible by all who stay in rooms on the floor we were on. There is no separation so people can walk freely on the balcony to see into the rooms - a couple of times, and once around 5 a.m., some people were talking loudly on the balconey without regard to others who might still be sleeping. If the room is not locked anyone would be able to enter the room from the balcony.

The included wi-fi is a big plus for me and my son. He was at work during the day but I spent a lot of time in the room - having internet access as part of the room price was great.

A bit pricey in the bar and the room rate was somewhat high.

The room was cramped with two double beds - there was really no place to put the luggage so we left ours on the floor. The small closet was not large enough to accommodate our carry-on size baggage. A stand to put the luggage on would have been nice. The remote on the old-style TV worked only the first day and then was useless.
