Stunning beach, dunes, scenery and walks. And the surf's not too shabby either. Good lifeguards as well.

One of our many visits to Croyde. We come mainly for the access to the fantastic beach. Always reasonably clean although it could be better. Great for the surfing side of things although we are very limited in our skills..bodyboarding is great to and the lifeguards on patrol give the family a feeling of security.

Amazing weekend with a beach wedding in a glorious venue .
Spectacular views and sunset in a field overlooking the bay.
Day on sandy beach which is well serviced with cafe toilets & car parking.
Great boarding waves and overseen by life guards who advise where to swim/board/surf.
Suitable for all ages - need to take shade as non available. Great sand for castles and a tide that goes a long way out.
Rocky outcrops at either end of the bay provide little Rock pools for crabbing and finding sea creatures as well as beautiful flora.
So much to do here - amazing place. Very popular and busy .... of course .

Our annual sojourn to Croyde is once again over (my wife's been annually for 50+ years). It seems to be getting busier year on year. You need to book in advance for most eating places and the "postcard" village is like a Westfield shopping centre at times and you are paying Central London prices for food, drink and accommodation .....that said it is still a beautiful setting with good walks,a great beach and surf. On Saturday 24th August (our return day) I don't think I've seen as many people on the beach in all the years I've been going down there. We were very lucky with the weather this year and that certainly helps with Al fresco dining and drinking. We will be back in 2020!!

Lovely beach. Visited over bank holiday and had amazing weather, the beach was obviously busy but it didn’t feel squashed. There are a small variety of places to eat at one end of the beach, selling icecream, pasties, hot drinks and other food. Life guards clearly demarcated swimming, bodyboarding and surfing zones. Sand is lovely for sandcastles and the sea was very clean.
