First time in Croyde and really enjoyed the beach. Lots of surfers, beautiful dunes with grasses, beautiful off road paths to get to it from the village. There are loos at the Ruda end of the beach and a small shop. Ice cream van on the beach when we visited. Volley ball area for those who are that way inclined. The beach was also supervised for swimmers and surfers. Also at the Ruda end of the beach, there is the option of borrowing a grabber and plastic bag to pick up rubbish which washes up on the beach - great initiative. There are also information boards to tell you about what you can see and the water quality. Plenty of room for every one on a busy bank holiday weekend. Loved it.

Stayed in Croyde Bay with an apartment right next to the beach. Gorgeous location. We were lucky enough to have enjoyed mainly sunny weather, but even on the two damp days the beach is well used by surfers and walkers. Patrolled by lifeguards. Sandy, but also some some interesting rock formations at the ends of the beach for rock pools. Not too commercialised, although there is a small beach shop and a surf shop. No dogs allowed, but Saunton Sands about a mile along the coast does allow dogs, a much bigger beach.

Lovely beach, and lots of people using it, but we have two dogs and were not permitted on the beach. I would like to have gone on the beach maybe after 6pm.

The beach is a lot smaller than nearby Wollacombe, but there was plenty of room on a sunny Sunday in late May. Tide goes out a long way! Toilets at the beach entrance and though parking is limited, it is available. There are volleyball nets setup in the middle of the beach. Loads of learner surfers but again, plenty of room for all. Good rock pools for crab/starfish finding.

Croyde and all of north Devon is beautiful. It is such
A shame that disabled people are obviously not welcome here there is no free parking No on street parking and having been here almost a week have yet found a beach we can get to. Fences Walls and money-making car parking schemes means nearly all beaches are in accessible. Please Devon council get it sorted
