We don't go away very often so this was a real treat for us. Very traditional and very relaxed. Everything we needed, yummy food and kind hosts. Beautifully quiet, set in a valley location with it's own spring water supply.

Booked a the last minute and so glad we picked here. Everything a bed and breakfast should be, Combas farm is a beautiful, homely farmhouse set in stunning surroundings. The owners and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and pleasant and it almost felt like we had taken a trip to see our favourite relatives. Croyde itself is a brilliant little town a short 2 minute walk from the door and true to form, John and Gwyn have thought of everything and have a shed full of wellington boots for guests to use in case the lane is muddy. This attention to detail has seemingly gone into everything as the beds were super comfy, premises and bathrooms spotless and the breakfasts massive and delicious. (Gwyn's homemade raspberry yogurt a highlight). We were recommended a fantastic restaurant and pub in nearby Georgham and weren't disappointed, if only we could've stayed longer. Thank you, we'll be back

An idyllic spot in totally peaceful surroundings. The combination of beauty, nature, home comforts and a delicious breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience.
Small touches such as the wonderful flavour of the tomatoes, eggs cooked to perfection and the most delicious homemade marmaled and jam making breakfast a real treat.
Recommendations where to eat in the evenings or at lunch time, always "spot on".
Most of all the friendly, accomadating nature of Gwen, her husband John and her assistant. Passing the time of day, making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible without seeming to be a "Try Hard"!

We stayed for 3 nights and were made to feel most welcome.

The farm is situated in a most beautiful area of Devon and in the garden you can easily imagine you are miles from anywhere whereas you are only 15 minutes walk from Croyde.

We particularly liked making ourselves a cup of coffee in the lounge and taking it to drink in the splendor of the garden.

The bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfasts too, were perfect.

It's a perfect place to go for a short break and recharge the batteries.

This was my first time staying at Combas Farm. The cottage is very pretty set in a lovely garden. Traditional cottage interior, lovely comfy beds. Fantastic service, really made us feel welcome and at home. Provided tea and cake on our arrival. Great breakfast, all the choice you could ever want! Walk to centre of Croyde is 5 min down a track. The road down towards Combas Farm is more of a track than a road, this definately gives it the farm-ey feel! - If it has been raining, bring your wellies (they however do provide the wellies for you if you want!). Would definately stay here again.

We have stayed with Gwen and John many times over the last few years, since my sister first introduced us to Combas Farm. It's a beautiful setting, close enough to dog-friendly Putsborough Sands and surfer-friendly Croyde to be convenient, far enough to feel like you have your own space. Lots of delightful pubs and cafés thereabouts too.

The farm is homely and comfortable; the welcome warm and genuine; and they will do whatever they can to make you feel welcome. All they ask in return is a decent respect for this place that has been their home and working farm for a generation; and that you make the most of your time with them.

I have to add that Gwen makes the most delicious jams with fruit from their own garden, there's always some home-grown produce around. My brother, his partner and I just provided a Devon cream tea for our sister's wedding guests which was based around Gwen's gooseberry jam and it went down a storm!

We came to Devon for a short break and we found ourselves surrounded by a beautiful countryside, near fantastic beaches. Combas Farm is truly magical place set in quiet country lane,5min.walk away from the centre of the Croyde vilage. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable.
We were served home made cake and pot of the on our arrival, which was a welcome treat. Breakfast was delicious, too. The host were very welcoming and warm. Cant wait to return again!!
