“#10 b&b Croyde - not just for surfers!”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

I have just had a really lovely stay at #10 and can thoroughly recommend it for a short or long stay, surfing or just mooching around. It has been decorated so cleverly you almost forget you are in the UK. It is also central, so just park the car and relax.

This was a wonderful stay for myself and my fiancé. Jane was a charming and caring host, with a great eye for detail and a wonderful hand to making a fine breakfast. The location is fantastic - so close to the beach and a number of great restaurants. As long as you treat it respectfully, the B&B can be used like home, making it a relaxing haven. Would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: The beach hut also looked great. There is another option for families with children too.

The Summer House is the perfect romantic weekend retreat. So peaceful and only minutes walk away from The Thatch & Blue Groove - great places to drink and eat.
Jane was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

I agree with all the other reviewers, Jane is the perfect host, every detail thought of, contemporary spacious, relaxing with the most beautiful bed linen (even my husband commented on this!). Beautiful lounge that we were able to relax in and help ourselves to tea and coffee. We had a double room shared the bathroom with the twin room but we hardly saw the other guests so not an issue, and we had also booked the beautiful summerhouse for one night when our daughter joined us - she loved it ! She has suggested we could be looking for a smaller house in our up coming house move and just build one for her in the garden! Beautifully landscaped garden - we had fabulous weather so it was a treat to be able to sit in it at the end of a hard day on the beach with a cup of tea. We know the area well so used Croyde and Putsborough beaches and ate locally too. Plenty going on with music in the Thatch in the evening a farmers and craft market, just lovely - we will turn and will happily recommend no 10 inbetween. This is how a B&B should be.

This is a cool place to stay. Jane is a great host and makes you feel very welcome. The rooms in the house are lovely, contemporary, light, bright with a great beachy feel.
I stayed in the summer house which suited me perfectly. Simply beautiful, with its own en-suite, fridge, free sat TV and a very comfortable bed looking out to a tranquil garden. Great attention to detail with lovely white, crisp bed linen. I will be back!

Just returned from our second stay at B&B at No. 10, which is a few minutes walk from both Croyde village and also the beach.
Jane is an excellent and friendly hostess, managing to make us all feel 'at home' the minute we walked through the door.
The decor is contemporary and practical, with lots of storage space in the bedrooms. The beds are really comfortable, with lovely crisp white sheets.
The bathroom is spotless, with a great shower.
Breakfasts are very well cooked - I agree with the previous comment about the scrambled eggs which were superb!
We were 'lucky with the weather' so spent time in the garden, which is quiet and secluded and there's also space to rinse and dry surf gear.
We also made good use of the lounge which is comfortable, light and airy.
We would thoroughly recommend the B&B at No 10 and plan to return again as soon as we can.

A very comfortable stay with lovely bedroom and bathroom facilities in beach-style decor. We were lucky enough to have the living room to ourselves and could enjoy the vast range of dvds on offer on the huge flat screen tv. Breakfast was delicious, Jane cooks a great scrambled egg! Great location close to the beach and the village centre. Highly recommended.
