Stayed in Croyde over the Easter long weekend with a couple of mates, and had booked this place over several other similar places purely because I felt they were the most accommodating to what I was looking for (ideally 3 in a room at a reasonable rate considering it was the Easter holiday), plus they had taken the trouble to reply to my enquiry promptly (a couple of other places did not even bother to reply!). Did not regret my decision at all!

The property has two barns, and we were lucky to stay in the front barn with two double beds and a single bed added at short notice. Very spacious, very clean with a flat screen TV, small fridge with free water & milk, hair dryer, central heating and tea/coffee making facilities. Modern en-suite had a good power shower, with enough towels and toiletries provided. The barns have their own private entrances and are detached from the main building, which is great as it means you don't have to worry about disturbing the owners particularly late at night.

Breakfast in the conservatory of the main building was great, lots of choice on cereal, toast with jams/marmalades and variations on the full english, which was really well made and not swimming in grease like you get at some other places. There is also a gated parking area provided at the rear of the main building, and a lovely quiet stream running in front of the property. Location is fantastic...you are two minutes walk from the centre of Croyde, halfway between the Thatch/Billy Budds and the Manor pubs so everything is within easy reach.

Only got to meet one of the owners Alison, a really lovely person, welcoming and willing to help and advise/recommend things at all times. Thank you Alison for a great relaxing weekend and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others. Indeed we intend to book the Parminter again for our return to Croyde!!

Room Tip: we were lucky to be shown both barns, and they are equally great...their only major differences are...

Visited Parminter last weekend for a spur of the moment break. Alison was therefore more than happy to accomodate us for just the one night even though she prefers two nights minimum. We had one of the two doubles in the back barn - this has it's own separate entrance, with a lobby for storing your boards etc.. Spacious warm, clean, comfortable room with flat screen TV, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities. The ensuite had a shower and lots of towels plus toiletries provided. Breakfast was in the sunny conservatory with cereals, toast & jams/marmalade, juice, coffee/tea and a full english. Excellent location in the centre of croyde so only a few minutes walk to any of the pubs and shops etc... Croyde beach is again only 10-15 mins away on foot down the footpath by Billy Buds. Would recommend and visit again.

Visited Croyde for a girls weekend in July - the b&b was the only one avalable at the time and could accommodate 3 of us in 1 room - no hassle at all for a very decent rate(sometimes owners can get a bit twitchy about doing this). Best decision ever - we were greeted by the smily Alison and shown the front barn which we had for all 3 nights. Modern decor, airy, very comfortable beds (we had 2 x doubles (1 being a double pull-out bed of sorts but still a decent size and comfy), white fluffy towels and a modern bathroom - plus a flat screen tv, mini fridge, fresh bottles of water & milk every day to go with a fab super posh coffee machine and tea/hot choc making facilities! It was more like staying in a hotel! You have your own private access and have breakfast in the conservatory at the back each morning - hugh choice of cereals and no problem tweaking the full cooked breakfast (I chose to have boiled eggs one day) - it is a short walk from the pubs/couple of shops in croyde and away from the hustly and noise of the thatch. The finishing touch is the little stream running past the house and the barn window..and the little dog called Connie (who only wandered in as I called her/coaxed her to)! All I can say is definitely stay here - it should be rated as number #1 in Croyde!

Room Tip: I didn't see the back barn - but the front barn is very big and perfect for 2 plus people!

We stayed at The Parminter in Oct 2010 for 2 nights at the weekend. We stayed in the back barn which has 2 double ensuite rooms with their own entrance and a lobby area where you can store boards etc. The room was really clean and modern, no flowers or frills in sight! The room has a double bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table, chair and large wardrobe. There is a flat screen TV and a small fridge. Tea, coffee, water and fresh milk is provided. The bathroom is clean and modern with a shower cubicle, plenty of large towels and a nice selection of toiletries are provided. Breakfast is served in the conservatory and consisted of a choice of cereals followed by a really good full english, toast, tea/coffee and Juice.

It is in a great location only a 2 minute walk to the centre of croyde, pubs, post office etc.. Parking is provided at the rear of the house, they were happy to store our bikes in the garage which is a great bonus.

The owners are really lovely and welcoming and were happy to help out with local info, provide maps and recommend local places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definately recommend this B&B to others and really hope to return in the future.
