“avoid at all costs terrible food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2009

We were all inc , the food was not just bad it was inedible, the snacks were pre cooked burgers that was put in to kind of breville / George Formen that was filthy and given whatever time the staff decided, We had to eat out along with most of people who stayed . 12 eastern europeans walked out ( good for them )you had to pay for bottled water no tea facilities so if you left poolside you got cheap plastic dispenser cups , no entertainment no games , pool was tiny next to road, rooms were very worn and dirty , thankfully we only stayed 5 nights

i have just returned from this hotel and i am less than impressed, after having a baby recently my partner and i jumped at the chanceto get away on a 5 day break while my mother minded my son, i booked through sun4u for 4* AI allocation on arrival, i have never done this before but thought if it was 4* it was bound to be good, WRONG on arrival i was extremley disapointed, the hotel is shabby the staff are rude and the bar shuts at midnight!.. we went to our room which was def not 4 star standard. it was small and dull altho it was clean. the following morning we went for breakfast which was non descript. lunch and dinner were no better with the buffet mainly catering for foreigners. the pool was nice enough even tho it was small and i was shocked when my partner returned from the bar with his beer in a small plastic cup.. i wasnt aware u got plastic cups in 4*hotels.. on returning i looked the hotel up online and i was shocked to see how well it looks in the photos. they must have been taken a very long time ago and a few of the photos i think r of another hotel because i didnt see the nice showers or the jacuzzi with the wood surrounding.. i think the entire costa brava could do with a revamp the place is stuck in a time warp and no entertainment at all. luckily we got the 5 days for under 500 or i would have been devestated.. a word to the wise pictures are not always as they seem and this hotel definatley does not deserve the 4 star rating

well were to start with eugenia hotel avoid avoid avoid it was more minus 4 star than 4 star the food was terrible and the only thing edible was chips which after 5 days is a nightmare, nobody spoke any english the hotel was packed full of foreign school kids who kept us awake all night shouting, screaming banging on the doors and setting off the fire alarms at all hours into the morning, throwing bottles off the balconys round the pool and tipping beer and spitting on you whilst you were trying to sunbathe ive never witnessed anything like it and when trying to complain nobody wanted to know and werent even interested about sweeping the glass up from the pool or poolside so you had to wear shoes at all times to avoid pulling glass out of your feet which i had to do on several occasions, luckily i were only there for 5 days and had met some more english couples to salvage the holiday and make it something otherwise i would have been on the next flight home.

I read all the previous reviews after booking this holiday and expected the worst but I have just returned from a relaxing and enjoyable week at this hotel. There was always something to please everyone from the extensive buffet, (soup, salad, bread rolls, meat dishes, fish, vegetarian option, pasta, boiled potatoes, vegetables and chips) and although sometimes food was not hot enough, a microwave was available for reheating if needed. We were on an all inclusive deal and were issued with coloured wristbands on arrival that gave us access to an outside bar (10am to midnight) by the swimming pool. All staff were attentive and friendly and we were served quickly and efficiently. We did not have to wait at any time. During evenings there was also an inside bar available for us to use.

There are a lot of young German students that use this hotel, but we had no problems with noise as our rooms were on the 5th floor (top). The rooms were clean and simply furnished (polished wood ) with bathroom towels changed daily and a balcony that looked out over a wooded area to the side of the hotel. The rooms were air conditioned which was great as the weather was extremely warm.

The hotel was only a five minute walk to the beach, and yet far enough away from the bustle of LLoret de Mar main town to not be disturbed in the early hours by people returning from a night out. Overall this was an ideal holiday for us and we would recommend it if you want relaxation and meals and drinks included in your holiday.

We booked 4* on arrival but managed to find out the name of the hotel before we left. I tried everything to change the hotel after reading reports on this site. Sun4u reported all hotels were fully booked and it was "not as bad as some sites were making out". We decided to give it a go after being dropped off we went to our room. 4* NEVER I went straight down stairs and got on the phone.

After putting the kids in the tiny over crowded pool we met a number of English families and couples all trying too compain and move. We decided to do anything to get out of this hotel and offered to pay whatever to move. A manager at sun4u said there was nothing she could do tonight but would phone back in the morning at 11:00.

To be fair I got a call back and was offered to move for £290 to another HTOP hotel. I could not get my card out quick enough. We then spent 9 nights at the Pineda Palace which seemed like 5* luxury comared to this hole.

we signed up to a holiday deal where you are assigned to a random four star hotel. there was..
No entertainment, food was poor- my husband and i were both very ill, the fridge in our room leaked, there was overbookings- it was VERY crowded, an extremely small pool, very noisy and no action was taken after complaints were made- it was full of youths, like a youth hostel, the air conditioning was poor, no bin, small room, one chair only on the balcony, wardrobe and bed so close we couldnt even open the doors fully, cleanliness was poor- rust all over the towels, the safe was very expensive to rent, we couldnt exchange pounds for euros. To top all that off, the staff were horrendously rude.
All the things you would expect from a four star all inclusive hotel were not included in this over priced hostel.
